Dr. Mary Murphy will be my surgeon but I do not meet with her until Dec. 14th 2001, so I will write more after my appt.12/14/01
I really like Mary Murphy. She was very kind and soft spoken. She answered all of my husband's and my questions very straight forward and held back no information. I will put in so more info after my surgery.
Dr. Mary Murphy is a very sweet, soft spoken woman who is under 40 (I'm sure) but wears her hair in a "old school marm" style - but somehow it suits her. The office staff was very nice on my one visit there, and I felt I was treated with respect and concern.
Pacific Bariatric has a very structured after care program which includes regular follow-up exams and support group meetings. They also have a "buddy list" which I haven't received yet because it was being updated (as I understand it).
I feel that surgical competence is the most important contribution my surgeon will bring to this great adventure of mine... I hope she'll be a little more open & enthusiastic when I see her in the hospital.
Dr.Breslaw was thorough and answered all 2 1/2 pages of my questions. I am very confident in his experience.
my surgeon? well she is great so personalbe she wasnt afraid to touch me and look at me in the face a good sign! she waa warm and caring and she treated me like a person not just a big fat obese problem! my impression hasnt changed i i know it wont.her office staff is great and very very helpful i loved all of them. there is nothing i didnt like about her. if you can at all go to her do it! she is great and she set to rest any lingering fears i might have had about the surgery and she ansewered my questions honestly. she emphasized after care as a number one on my list its a must do! and arent you worth it? She encouraged it with a acaptial E and she was very honest about what i had o do.S he told me all the risks involved and i understood them totally,she explained each one wand how if something went wrong how they might beable to fix it and somethings that they might not be able to fix. I think she is great on a scale of 1 to 10 she is a 10 definately!surgical competance is fantastic of course but i dont know a person in the world who doesnt want a doctor who really cares that is what Makes a really good dr really great!
My first impression was that she was on time and she answered all my questions and she made sure that I understood well about the surgery.
Her office staff were pleasent dispite that it was 8:30 inthe morning.
There was n othing that I can say that I didn't like about Mary Murphy afterall I switched from Dr. Tenaka and took a later date just so I could have a surgen that I could feel comfortable talking to.
Dr. Mary Murphy is the daughter of Dr. Leo Murphy which is a great bariatric surgeon himself.
