I like him and his grouprnrnSo far I have only met him once., will see him this week., but I have only heard good reports on him and his assoc.rnrnoffice staff so far has been helpful and informative., I am able to email and call questionsrnrnnot sure of any future info. on him yet., if so I will send laterrnrnthey very much want you to come to monthly meetings., a full yr., of treatments and if needed longer than that., and they want to see and hear from me for my lifetime.rnrnI just explained the aftercare and it sounds doable and good as far as I am concernedrnrnso far I rate him and staff 100% if that changes I will reportrnrnas will all drs they did say and all the way through., but theirs is 01. so I fee confident they and I have taken all the steps I need for my upcoming surgery to be a good outcomernrnnot sure yet on bedside manner and havn't had enough contact w/him to say., but his Asst., will be there to see me day of surgery., and nutritionist., all all including the medical center have been great for the pre surg. registration., people were lined up to giv eme all my tests and classes that day were informative, they scheduled my entire day w/all tests and nutritionist and classes w/rn and nutr. all in a one day event for me., so that saved me many trips of over 50 miles back and forth., you can tell they have worked hard on having a smooth running operation with all of their team. on day of surgery two of the dr's will be doing the surgery.

Dr.Givens gives a wonderful first impression he is straight forward and to the point and goes out of his way to assist your needs. The office staff was very friendly and well educated about weight loss surgery. The one thing I like least about the office that some of the workers were not as patient as they should be for patients that knew nothing about the process before surgery, but over all I was very pleased with them all. I would recommend Riverside Surgical and Dr.Givens any and everyone seeking weight loss surgery.

Dr. Antonetti was awesome! Riverside Surgical works together as a team and someone was checking on me throughout my stay at the hospital. I saw Dr. Antonetti everyday and Lynn came by every morning to check on me. My surgery was a breeze and I had no complications. Dr. Antonetti is a man of few words but he really cares about his patients and goes above and beyond to make sure their surgery is successful and as painless as possible. I would recommend him to anyone else. Dr. Antonetti and Riverside Surgical stress aftercare programs and they have so many tools available to help you throughout your recovery. The nutritionist is out on maternity leave, in fact she had the baby the same time I was having surgery but I have her home email and I can send her a message anytime I need to and she responds back!

Awesome caring man. Very professional in all aspects. Hands down one of the best surgeons to perform Gastric ByPass surgery. I would have no hesitations in using him again. Dr. Givens and the rest of his entire staff care about the whole person, not just the physical aspects but also the mental aspects in taking care of one's needs. You become a patient of his for life. rnrnOn a scale from 1 - 10 he would get a 10+.rnrnThe only down side to this whole experience was the wait for insurance approval - I have found from my research that apparently this is not an isolated situation - it is a fairly standard complaint from many people. That was the biggest issue I had in this whole experience - waiting on insurance kind of puts everything in limbo. Other than that one issue, there were no other problems for me.

I met with Dr Strickland on the day of the seminar and liked him a lot. My husband and I met with him again to get info on the sleeve and if it would be a better surgery for me. He was very nice and said either surgery would get me to a healthy weight. He would not recommend one over the other, but said I was the one who would have to decide. If my priority was to lose faster the sleeve would be the one. If it was just to lose the band would get me there but would take longer. The band is less than half the cost of the sleeve and being self pay that is a huge consideratioin.rnrnHe was great about giving me the information and not making me feel as if he was only in it for the money.rnrnI felt very comfortable asking him questions and althought he was way behind due to being held up at the hospital he did not make us feel rushed.rnrnJust before surgery, I talked to Dr Strickland and asked him not to be stingy with the pain meds. I was very afraid of being in severe pain. He told me not to worry, they would take care of me. rnrnI don't remember having very much pain at all. I made sure to push the button as soon as I started to feel uncomfortable. rnrnI had a question about black poop at 12 am on Wed. after surgery and called Dr. S. He called me back quickly and reassured me it was normal. I had to call him again on Sunday about the nausea and again he promptly called me back. The problem was from meds my PCP gave me for Gout. rnrnMy only complaint is the wait time for my 2nd consult and my post-op appt.

My first impression of Dr. Givens was very nice. It was st my first WLS Seminar. He was very informative and very patient. I had my consult a few days later and he was just as informative as in the seminar. He ordered tests that were relevant and important to our beginning and stressed the availability of himself and staff to me for any questions. His staff has already submitted my letter for approval. I must say they are very organized and very attentative to details. rnrnDr. Givens stressed the importance of committment to life and lifestyle changes in order to be successful with the surgery and life thereafter. He emphasised the importance of keeping appointments, following dietary guidelines and emotional and physical well being. We discussed the risks of surgery and the added risks that would perhaps affect my situation. I would rate him as \"Excellent\". Surgical competence and beside manner are great but the unwavering human concern for another is even better. Helping someone reach a better quality of life through information, surgical competence and a care for human beings is great all by itself.
