SC Obesity Surgery Center Bariatric Center

I went with SC Obesity Ctr because of their reputation, both personally known and nationally. Dr. Antonetti and his staff are making my journey easy and pleasant to date. Both pre-op and post-op instructions have been so thourough and easy to follow. I also appreciate having thier personal nutritionist, Emily, at hand at any time needed. I highly recommend this group to anyone who is serious about changing his/her life for the better.

You could not ask for a better surgeon.

Dr. Givens had done a hernia repair for me a couple of years prior to my lap band surgery. He is a very skilled and caring surgeon - very patient with my internet research questions. Even though my lap band failed, I would make the same choice if I had it to do over again.

He is a very nice Dr.rnrnHis staff is very nice.

Dr Antonetti is just wonderful. He answered every question that I and my husband had. He is always upbeat and smiling when I see him. He has this positive \"aura\" that eminates from him. I felt very at ease knowing he would be doing my surgery. rnrnRiverside Surgical's program has so far been wonderful for me. The NUT, Emily, is one of those tell it like it is people. And that is what I need to hear. Everyone that I have dealt with has been kind and caring.

When I first had my appointment with Dr. Antonetti, he was professional and to the point. He didn't waste any time with chit-chat. He let you ask the questions and was very patient with you. He never talked down to you and was confident in his profession. As I got closer to surgery, he was there to answer all of my questions. When I had my surgery, I went in expecting an RNY, however, he saw some complications and after consulting with my wife, I came out with a VSG instead. I had never heard of this surgery and he said that it was new. He said that the complications that he found could result in leakage. I think he did the right thing. My surgery went extremely well, I went into the hospital on wednesday, and I was out on Friday. I highly recommend him and I am glad to have him as my surgeon.

My first impression of Dr.Strickland was a good one. He is a wonderful doctor and I have heard nothing but great things about him. I will update more after my surgery. WOW what can I say about Dr. Strickland now.. He is AMAZING.. I was so nervous before the surgery and he was so comforting. Said things would be fine and I was in good hands. I was. He came to see me the next morning and told me things went very well. I am so impressed by him. I would send everyone I know to him. What a wonderful doctor.

I was very pleased with him from the beginning and I am still very pleased. He is a great surgeon. The office staff was very helpful and always friendly. There isn't anything bad I could say about Riverside Surgical. He is a very caring doctor who made me feel like I was his only concern and that he actually cared about me. He made it very clear that I would be expected to take care of myself and it was my job to help him help me. His staff is always available, just call. They went over the surgery risk in great detail and I'm not gonna lie scared me a bit, but it just made me even more determined to do what I needed to do. He has wonderful bedside manner and surgical abilites, he could do any surgery I ever need. If I had to rank him it would be with the highest on whatever scale, he & his staff couldn't have been any better.

My surgical consult with Dr Strickland went great. He has a wonderful bedside manner. I felt totally comfortable with him and confident that he is my surgeon.rnI have my last appointment with him on 4-2-08 which is 2 days before my surgery date to go over my labs and x-rays and any last minute information. rnHad my surgery yesterday, I could not be more pleased with Dr.S. My husband was very impressed by him too because after the surgery he went right out and talked with him, to let him know everything was oK.
