I chose Dr. Hawasli because of his credentials. I am acquainted with his skills having worked with him during his general surgery residency in the early 1980s. I'd moved from the area in 1989 and only recently learned that he'd become a pioneer and recognized leader in the field of laporoscopic bariatric and general surgery. I live nearly two hours from the location of his practice, but I wasn't dissuaded by the distance to place my welfare in his capable hands. Besides, despite his apparent fame, he's the same humble, kind and dedicated man I worked with more than 20 years ago.
my first impression of dr katz was he is very quite until he gets to know you. He is very caring and really into helping people with this. His staff is very friendly and informtive about there area in the proceedure of each step that you need to take. He imformes you about all the pluses and minus of the surgery and also talks to you about other surgery that might be better for you but he lets you decide. he does have a aftercare program and goes over that information with you but you need to be willing do what you need to do for this surgery to work and you to be happier and healthy. thats the biggest goal
Dr. Sabir is absolutely wonderful! He genuinly cares about my progress, successes, and down falls. It feels good to find a surgeon who truely supports you the whole way through.
My first impression of Dr. Hawasli, very attractive man. He is the best in his field and has been the Doctor to many members of my family. I am the only one to do weight loss surgery though. He is a very caring Doctor & is doing everything he can to help obese people lose weight. He has monthly seminars to explain all options to people & has created a support group for people who have had surgery or if people want to come get information from people who have already had weight loss surgery. I rate him has the Best in Everything....
Dr. Kole is very knowledgeable about bariatric surgery. He was very professional and had great bedside manners.
I worked at Henry Ford Warren Campus for twenty years when it was Bi-County Hospital. I still keep in touch with friends that work there and only heard great things about Dr. Pesta. So, when it was time to make my decision to have weight loss surgery...Dr. Pesta was my choice and a good one I might add. Even though I am only 10 days post op, I feel like a different person. Dr. Pesta's office staff are professional and friendly. I am very happy with my choice of a great surgeon.
Dr. Hawasli is amazing. I started this journey scared out of my mind. I went to about a dozen seminars and have enough info I am sure I have a small tree in paper on WLS. I sat down in the back of room at Dr. Hawasli's monthly seminar at St. John Moross in Detroit MI and just thought to myself it was going to be another boring old same blah blah info as the rest. WRONG!!! He came in he spoke he provided us with HONEST information. He told us the bad things or downside of WLS and he told us the great things too!!rnrnI have a extreme phobia when it comes to doctors and medical procedures due to some bad treatment years back. But guess what as soon as I left that seminar I called his office and left a message to make a appt. 2 weeks later I was in his office ready to begin this journey.rnrnI researched for over a year before deciding to do any of this.rnrnDr. Hawasli is so kind and such a great man. Even if he is only in the room for 5 mins I feel like in that time I have his undivided attention. His staff is sweet and soooooo accomodating.rnrnI would recommend him to any and everyone!!!rnrnHe has helped me change my life!!
When I first went to Dr. Kerry Koles office for a seminar, I was very impressed with everyone there. They have a great staff. Dr. Kole and other staff members who spoke at the seminar answered everyone's questions without feeling rushed. Clara, the insurance coordinator is great! She kept on top of everything I had to do to get approved from my insurance company. They also referred me to my new primary care physician, who has also had bariatric surgery...he too is wonderful! I would recommend everyone to St Johns Weight Loss Clinic!
I think that Dr. Marshall is 100%. Excellent bedside manner, and would recommend him to anyone. The whole experience was a sucsess. All nurses and doctors were able to help you with all your concerns. Even housecleaning staff want to help in what ever way possible. The whole hospital time way very calming and relaxing. They get you moving to look after yourself
