Dr. Heydari is a very good surgeon. He has made my dream come true. He has the best bed-side manner. He held my hand and talk to me before surgery. He office staff is great. Sandy went beyond the call of duty to answer all the questions i had.

I am a surgical technologist, and had worked with Dr. Heydari previously on many occasions. I feel that he is one of the most caring, compassionate surgeons I have ever met. He covered everything completely with me, even though I had actually assisted him on a couple of the Roux-en-y procedures. I also developed complications post-op and he was in contact with me everyday to make sure that everything was going well. He addressed the possibilities of complications prior to the surgery so it wasn't that much of a shock. His staff are very professional and very helpful.

Overall, I'd recommend Dr. Heydari to any and everyone. He is the best. His bedsidemanner and surgical competence are top notch.

My first impression of Dr. Heydari was a good one. He was very friendly and took alot of time explaining the surgery to me. He was very and encouraging and also very realistic about the risks involved and even though it is a little scary I am glad that he is so thorough.
I have talked to several doctors and they all speak very highly of Dr. Heydari and that is very reassuring.
The person I've had the most contact with is Sandy and I think that she is great. She has been very helpful and definitely patient.
The aftercare and support group for the program seem to be very organized and structured for the best possible outcome for to the patient.
Since I am still pre-op I am sure I will learn more along the way, but so far I am pleased with Dr. Heydari and his aproach to the process.

My consult date was February 11,2003. I got to the doctors office and was taken in within 5 minutes. Dr. Heydari came into the room and shook my hand. He seems like a very nice man. He was very attentive to what I had to say. His office staff seem to be very friendly, but very busy. Dr. Heydari seems to be very person oriented. He doesn't appear to be one of those typical doctors that is just out to make a buck. Dr. Heydari only does this type of surgery to help people. He doesn't do it to make a profit. He has a very strict support system before and after surgery. A patient must meet all the criteria and go through all of the required testing in order to be considered a candidate.
Due to the fact that I am on the Public Aid Medical Card, he only does one surgery every two months. Because it is pretty much a set price, this is what he limits himself too.
Dr. Heydari was very adament about what risks were involved with this type of surgery and forewarned me of most everything. He took the time to answer my questions, discuss with me all the aspects of the procedure and even draw diagrams of what he would have to do.
Every other doctor of mine that I have spoken to about Dr. Heydari, say that he is on their top 4 list of top surgeons in the state. I believe in him.

I had the opportunity to meet with Heydari twice. My wife (Kameko)allowed me to tag along with her during her consultation. This gave me the opportunity to ask additional questions that I may have missed during my consultation. This also allowed me to hear the pros and cons/risks again. Both times, Heydari was patient, honest, extremely professional and dedicated to our appointments. Thus far, our overall experience both with Heydari and Sandy/Surgical Coordinator has been a positive one.
Now Kameko and I (the overweight lovers) wait with anticipation to hear from our insurer.

My first impression of Dr. Heydari was a good one. He made me feel very comfortable asking questions and took his time explaining the procedure in great detail. I am just at the beginning stages of this process and so far I am very happy.

My husband and 16 yo daughter went with to meet and talk with Dr Heydari. We all came away with the same feeling.<BR>
We were very impressed with Dr Heydari. He spent almost an hour with us. First he asked me why I wanted this surgery and what I knew about it. Then he went on to explain the procedure, complications etc. and the pre-surgical testing that he wanted me to have.<BR>
He did emphasize that weight can’t be lost by just changing diet, but by a combination
of diet and exercise.
When I presented my list of questions, he smiled but did not hesitate to answer them. He even complimented my daughter on by telling her that she was asking very intellegent questions.
Again, I thought he was terrific, office staff was very friendly. I have no misgivings of him doing my surgery.
I can't think of one negative thing to say about him.

Met Dr. Heydari at my consultation. He is very nice. He and I talked for over an hour about what he does and expects from his patients. He is very choosy about who he will see and perform the surgery on.

We talked about the fact that he hasn't performed very many RNY surgeries - and his point is, he does it to help people as a part of his surgical practice. He is not basing his practice on bariatric surgery like many others have to make money. I told him that one of the main reasons I chose him, was I wanted to be a patient not an appointment. As in "Dr, Kelly is here." vs. "Dr, your 10:30 is here." :)

I met with Dr Hedari today. He was very informative and friendly. He took the time to explain everything, to answer all my questions and also to get to know me not just as a prospective patient but the person behind the patient.

Dr Heydari, was very friendly,introduced himself, shook my hand,very professional.His office and staff were very friendly.The Dr. explained the procedure and drew the ryn picture for me,he went over all the risks and explained what to expectAt this point I would rate him a ten! I will let you know more after my surgery.

POST OP... The Dr did an awesome job,he came to visit me every morning in the hospital...The nursing staff at NIMC was the best!!! They were always friendly, helpful, and asking if there was anything I needed. They made me want to stay there for the full month I will be off work!!!
