Virtua Complete Weight Management Program Bariatric Center
I had been to the support meetings at the hospital (Rancocas Valley Hospital)just to see what was what. Dr Wasser was speaking that night and I was impressed by what he had to say. I listened to him as well as to the many patients, pre-and post that were there. I set up an appointment with him that night with Deborah.
Deborah is the BEST and keeps the office moving. She is like a whirlwind of energy and knowledge and freely admits " if I don't know, I will find out and call you back", and she always does.
The visits to Dr Wasser we quick and to the point. Once I recieved my approval from the insurance the date was set for approx 3 to 3 1/2 weeks later. The surgery went very well and I was quite pleased as to how good I felt. Dr Wasser stopped in 2 times for about 2 minutes each. Happily, one of those times was to release me from the hospital and remove the drain. Yeah !!
I think I expected to see more of the Dr while I was in the hospital. I have never had any hospitalization prior so I think this thought was more of what I WANTED as apposed to the reality of just how busy the Dr's are.
As far as the aftercare...this was basically a list of what foods and vitimins to add and when. I do not feel this is enough. The office is in the process of getting a baritric nutritienist but at this time have been unsecessful. I feel that the help of a nutritienist at this point is VERY important to the overall sucess and well being of the patient. My overall impression...I would highly recommend Dr Wasser to anyone. The surgical competence IS the most important thing. I would rate him FANTASTIC.
I went to a support group meeting to do research for WLS. At the meeting I met three surgeons from Rancocas Valley Surgical. Dr. Wasser was one. My first impression of him was very good. He made me feel very comfortable with his level of knowledge about the surgery. I later found out that he is an esteemed Vascular Surgeon and I have gotten many good references about him from others.
The office staff is remarkable. Very organized and willing to help in any way.
During my consult with Dr.Wasser he was very thorough and answered all of my questions.
The aftercare was explained in detail. The group also requires you to pay a fee to become part of the support group. I thought this was odd at first and did not like it but now I know I am going to need support from others who have already gone through this. I bet this fee will be well worth every penny.
I am fully aware of the risks of this surgery. The doctor did go over this and also gave me papers and a booklet. I think not having the surgery is a bigger risk.
Over all I have been very pleased with Dr.Wasser and his office staff. AnnMarie and Debbie are the best office assistants. They are very organized and efficient.
Dr. Wasser was very professional and encouraging. He provided plenty of time for questions and said we would talk more specifically at my pre-op appointment. The staff at Rancocas Surgical was pleasant and extremely helpful, they handled all the insurance paperwork and responded to any inquiries quickly. Dr. Wasser has not done many of these surgeries but was very reassuring about his other surgical experience. To be honest, at this point I really have nothing negative to say about my choice of doctors.
I like my Doctor he works with Dr Greenbaum, his name is Dr Wasser. I like him and feel more comfortable each time I talk with him. He answered all my questions is very dedicated to paitents health before, during, and after surgery. I really like him he wants the best results as much as I do. What more could you want from your Doctor.
