I first met Dr. Weiss laying on a table in pre-op waiting for him to perform an EGD on me prior to surgery. He came in and introduced himself and my first impression was how kind and yet professional he was. Over time my impression of him has grown even more. His office and hospital staff are knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. He has the highest of standards in care and yet is able to balance these standards with warmth and compassion towards his patients. Prior to surgery he addressed the surgical risks with me completely and fully prepared me for life after RNY. He took time in appointments to talk to me and answer my questions without making me feel rushed or confused. He showed interest for even my simplest questions and never made me feel ignorant for asking or like I was imposing on his time. He places a high emphasis on an aftercare program and his office offers lifetime structured support for patients. Overall I would say Dr. Weiss is the best! His surgical competence and bedside manner are fantastic and I am very proud to be his patient!

My husband and I met with Dr. Kwon last week. He is as nice as we had heard he was and answered eveery question in detail. I can't wait to see him on Jan 28th!

my surgeon is great.the staff couldnt be any better. they make me feel welcome and make me believe my decision for the lap band was right.they are with me for the long hall.anybody in the ny tristate area should know this

Love the doctor and most of the staff I have met so far. Very professional and caring!rnHaving to have so many tests etc. before even getting to meet the doctor was a bit disconcerting, but necessary I guess so that he does not waste his time on patients who are not 100% committed.rnI was totally UNHAPPY with the psych evaluation that I paid $250 out of pocket. The woman rushed me through and was done in about 15 minutes and half of that time she was talking about herself! I was the last patient of the day and she was TIRED. Actually stood up and got her keys and stuff and got ready to leave! I thought I was supposed to get a 45 minute consult and have a chance to talk about all the reasons behind my poor eating habits.

I had heard that he was an excellent surgeon and felt confident of that at our first meeting. Over times I learned that he is a very concerned man who is deeply interested in his patients and works hard for them to have the best oportunty available to ensure the WLS is successful. rnDr Kwon's staff is knowledgable, friendly and VERY helpful. Probabaly one of the most competent offices I have ever dealt withl It is a pleasure to kno each and every person in the office.rnDr Kwon and his staff are very committed to offering aftercare support groups. They would like all post surgical patients to attend at least one support group every two weeks. rnPrior to surgery both Dr Kwon's staff and Dr Kwon were very upfront about risks.rnDr Kwon is an excellent surgeon, and outstanding person who truly cares about his patients and is very committed to doing everythigng he can to promote their success. After all - it is up to us to complete our weight loss, but with what he offers us in tools and supports, how can we fail? rnInteresting - the question below asks if we said anything negative. I did not because to date I have not had a negative experience.

Dr. Kwon & his staff in Middletown and Bon Secours is awesome! I would recommend him to anyone that wants to get the Lap Band. He has a strict pre op and post op plan and makes you go to 2 support groups before you meet with him so you can be sure that it is what you want to do. I would rate him a 10 out of 10!

So far i am pre-op and the doctor is very nice and answered all of my questions. I originally wanted to do the lap-band and changed my mind, then i had second thoughts and got scared so i went back to him and he put me at ease. Will keep you posted on everything afterwards.

My first impression of Dr. Rivera at the seminar was he was your average text book dr. When I met with him in the office he was the opposite. He spent a while with me explaining things and answering my questions.rnDr. Rivera smiles a lot and for me that makes me feel a lot more comfortable with him, not like some dr's who have an expressionless face. That makes a big difference in my book.
