Dr. Smith is great , not only is he a weight loss surgeon that specializes in lap-band surgery, he is also a lap-band patient. Who can better motivate and understand you than a person who has actually walked a mile in your shoes before surgery as well as after.

He is wonderful. His office staff is great and he gives me support when I need it. He is easy to talk too and understanding. I would recommend him to anyone in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

My surgeon is an wonderful guy. He has had the lap band himself and understands what its like to be overweight and what its like to have the band. Would recommend him to anyone.

I met with Dr. Smith on 2/7/07. He was very nice and laid back. He went through everything with me and he felt I would be a great candidate for surgery. My name is Angie Austin; I was banded May 1, 2006. I have been over weight to some point all my life and dieting with little or no results. I researched weight loss surgery for about 2 years before ever going to a seminar and heard good things about Dr. Adam Smith, once I attended Dr. Smith’s seminar I knew he was the one to perform my surgery and the Lap Band was for me. I have always been an outgoing person but after getting my band buddy I have more energy and feel better about myself. I work with my band and not thinking that the band is a miracle cure for weight loss, it takes work and dedication and I know that I will achieve my weight goal. I would recommend anyone thinking about weight loss surgery to consider the Lap Band and Dr. Smith for surgery. Dr. Smith has a great staff with some that have actually had the Lap Band also, and know what you are talking about when you ask questions. Dr. Smith's office also has a great support group meeting that I think everyone should attend rather you are thinking of having surgery or have already had surgery. Getting my band buddy is the greatest thing I have done for me and my health.

The first time I met Dr Smith I knew he would be the one that I would trust to do the Lap Band Surgery. One of my classmates had his surgery by Dr Smith and had great things to say about him and his staff. I too have a great impression of all the staff at Dr Smiths office. They are very caring and knowledgable about the surgery. If I had to rate Dr Smith and his staff on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best I would give them a 10++++. I would recommend Dr Smith to anyone who is looking towards Lap Band Surgery. I would rate Dr Smith with a 10++++ for both surgical competence and bedside manner.

I was very impressed with Dr. Smith. He has first hand experience himself due to being a Lap Band patient himself. I was also referred to him by a friend. The staff was nice and most of them had also been banded. This was an excellent experience.

My first impression of Dr. Smith was that he was down to earth and a straight shooter. He has had the LapBand himself, and is very knowledgeable not only about the procedure, but also the emotional and psychological aspects of being overweight. His entire staff was SUPER helpful and friendly. They took care of the entire insurance process (I did not even have to talk to the insurance company once). I also really liked that the pre-op and post-op appointments were in a group setting... it was nice to hear that others were experiencing and feeling the same things I was. I am only 2 weeks post-op and my incisions are nearly healed (with little sign of any permanent scarring). I give Dr Smith (and his entire staff) a 10+!!!
