Ultimate Bariatrics Bariatric Center

My first impression was wow. He is telling it first hand since he has also had the banding done. I was totally excited. It seems like I couldn't get it all done fast enough. His staff were great and answered every question I needed and prompt to e-mail me when there seemed to be any concerns. rnrnOn the day of surgery I woke up with vertigo and was deathly ill. Could not hold up my head with getting sick. Dr. Smith came to the hotel and medicated me and reschedule my surgery for the next week. I couldn't of asked for a more compassionate caring man.

Dr Smith has the Lap Band himself, that was definitely a positive factor in choosing him as my surgeon. He is friendly and comes across as down to earth with a sense of humor. He has a great staff, very helpful with getting me processed and surgery completed, it took appoximately 5 weeks from my initial phone conversation to set up an appt. with Dr Smith, starting preop diet, then scheduled surgery, everything went smoothly. They have a great aftercare program twice a month support meetings, and a third meeting monthly for special guest topics. I feel I have made the best decision in choosing Dr Smith and his staff for my surgery, as I said before, he has the band, many of his staff have the band and so does his wife!

Mr first impression of Dr. Smith was honest!rnHis office staff are very effecient and caring. Heather is the BEST!!rnMy favorite thing about Dr. Smith is that he has the band and totally understand what you are going thru and what you will be going thru each and every day!!rnHe does have aftercare support groups and programs.rnHe was very honest and frank about risks.rnI would rank him thus far excellent!!rnI think having both good bedside manner and competence are important. I'd prefer him to be more competent than compassionate if I had to pick.

'Dr Smith is awesome! He had lapband surgery prior to performing the surgery and is a true inspiration. He knows all the pros and cons firsthand and I felt very confident in his hands. His competence and bedside manner are the BEST. Most of his staff have had lap band surgery and are very friendly and inspirational

I had my surgery on August 4, 2005. I am having my first fill/adjustment tomorrow, September 19, 2005. I have lost 26 pounds so far and I have been extremely satisfied with my results thus far.

Excellent, very informative.
Just keeps getting better.
Very friendly, and professional, always ready to help with a good attitude.
There was nothing to dislike!
Much, we have once a month support group meetings with bunchies of good quality information!
Yes very much so.
It was talked about in detail before my surgery.
If you have lapband Dr. Snow is "The Doctor" he cares about what he does, and he and his staff strive for only the BEST CARE of each and everyone of his patients!
Both are above and beyond!

I met Dr. Smith on January 11th. I liked him. He answered all my questions. His staff was great very friendly and concerned. I have spoken to his staff frequently and they have always been friendly and supportive.

Changed Doctors after lap band with him. Hernia repair that was supposed to be done by him was incorrectly done according by new surgeon. He had to redo it. Band slipped up my esophagus. He always referred me downstairs and never really saw him even though I was his patient prior to him joining the new place.

My first impression was that he was just another doctor who was too busy. Since more visits, he has become very supportive in my venture. His staff is wonderful. I am still in the aftercare program so I don't have any info yet. The risks were very detailed to me without any pampering. He made sure that I understood completely. I think the surgical competence is more important than bedside manner because I can die from incompetence, but not hurt feelings.
