Ultimate Bariatrics Bariatric Center

I had a good first impression of Dr. Smith from his seminar. He led the seminar and gave his own personal testimony. He also stayed and answered any one on one questions. He was very personable at my first office visit. He say my page of questions and said to me, 'I see them now let's get started on them.' He was honest. I asked about his mortality rates for his surgeries. He wasn't pushy at all. I probably was with him an hour that first visit.rnrnLBS office staff is very friendly. I would have to be honest though and say a little disorganized and short staffed (maybe)in the front office though. I had Finance questions and took over 3 days to return my call the second time and never did the first time I called. My husband went to buy me some New Whey and he waited over 20 minutes. I love his nurse Susie. SHe had lap band and is awesome with advice and patience with newbies like me. I should be having my first fill after 3 weeks but due to so many patients it is more like 5 weeks til first one. rnrnThe one thing that I didn't like about the surgery is that afterwards Dr. Smith didn't visit with me,only my husband waiting. Another patient with a different Dr. came to check on her. It would have been a more warm and fuzzy personal experience if he had check on me directly right afterwards. rnrnThe one thing I love about Dr. Smith is how he stress aftercare. I read some of these posts/blogs and they have no aftercare. Smith has a aftercare support group each Tuesday in his building. I really like that his Psych. and nurse are at them to lead and answer questions. Not to mention all the other patients there that can share there stories/advice. rnrnHe does well with the risks of surgery too. Just be sure to ask if you have any concerns. He'll answer with the first consult at his office. rnrnI would rate him as a 9 but what do I have to compare it too. I would say his surgical competence is great since he had it done, and trains others due to being one of the first dr.s to do it. I thank he has very good beside manner too. rnrn

I have gone to the seminar and had a consulatation visit with Dr Snow. He was recommended to me by 2 co-workers and I can see why. He is a very personable guy who listens to you and makes sure to answer any questions you have. He takes the time to explain everything. His office staff was great too. I'm hoping to see more of them, God and Aetna, willing. lol

Very nice office, however he has lost his privlages at the hospital in decatur and now my surgury has been postponed indeinfetly until he can get rights to another facility. Say they are working on it but didnt know it takes four months to get rights to a new facility. Oh well hopefully one day i will be banded.rn

I knew Dr Smith a few years back when he did a general surgery on my mom. I liked his bedside manor then and his positive outlook back then. I am greatful for the fact that after all these years I have a doctor that can really relate to me and on how I feel about being overweight. I can not say anything negative about Dr Adam Smith at all, my experience so far has been great all the way around.

My first impression of Dr. Smith was from his website!! I automatically knew he was the Surgeon for me. I wanted someone who knew what I would be going through. Not just a text book side effect. He seemed to be a genuine family man & christian man. His office stafe is what really confirmed my decision. Everyone in his office was so polite & showed concerment. I wasn't treated like I was interrupting when I called the office. rnrnDr. Smith & his staff strongly stressed being informed. THey have a virtual informational called EMMI which shows you exactly what they will do to you the day of surgery & how you should follow after care instructions. Everything in the short movie trailer describes every side effect & health risk you can imagine. It allows you to think of question you may have forgotten to ask while you were in the office the last time. I give him & his office staff an A+ for professionalism, surgical competence, & bedside manners!!!

He is wonderful so far. He has had Lap-Band himself therefore he is very understanding of all the aspects. Alot of his staff have had the procedure also. He seems to be very laid backa nd calm which is very relaxing and reassurring to me. He has been very willing to accomadate my special needs as I have other medical issues to take into consideration.

I changed surgeons when I moved to Fort Worth. Dr. Smith will be removing my band on Tuesday. I'm thankful for all the help he has given me since I moved here and that he accepted me as a transfer patient from PA.
My first impression of Dr. Brader was that he is very confident in his field. I was looking for a specialist and not a training facility.
I am waiting for a surgery date and will be able to post more about the Doctor at that time.

I met Dr. Smith at one of his Seminars, I was very impressed. He is a very kind person. He has a great \"bed side manner\"

Dr. Smith was a God send for me. He had to do alot of research about my disease in order to do my surgery. I am the first Lap band patient with Elhers Danlos Syndrome. So it was kind of touch and go as to weather I would be able to have the surgery. His office staff are the most loving and caring group of women I have ever met. He beleives in what he is doing and you can see the pride he feels when you go in and he sees your progress. He is truly an amazing man.

Dr. Smith is an excellent surgeon and has a great office staff.
