My first impression of Dr. Robbins, is he is not fooling around about the seriousness of this surgery, and how he conveyed that to my parents that came with me to the appointment. I was lucky enough to attend a luncheon hosted by another surgeon in the same practice with Dr. Robbins and that REALLY help fill in any blanks I had left.

Nothing has changed about him thus far. His staff is great especially "Amy" the coordinator. I guess what I liked less about him is that he did not make sure you understood "ALL" the risk, BUT I did tell him I went to the Luncheon AND had been researching this for over a year, and that had already covered everything.

What future patients should know? Well, I guess if you don't know all the ends and outs ... ask questions. Also THAT HE EXPECTS YOU TO BE LOSING A LITTLE BIT OF WEIGHT FROM FIRST APPOINTMENT TO SURGERY DATE. He does this to make sure your taking this seriously.

He emphasizes EVERYTHING including sending you to a therapist to be sure of your mental understanding the surgery and also you have to attend physical therapy to learn exercise to help tone you skin and improve your health for the surgery. You also have to see a dietitian which they go over EVERYTHING you eat after surgery.

His overall all rating is GREAT!

Which is better, surgical competence, bedside
manner, or both? Surgery went great... His bedside manner is warm and open, I feel like I can ask him anything.

I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Steven Fendley. He seems like a really nice man and I am looking forward to him doing my surgery.

Dr. Steven Fendley is one of the most cordiall doctors I have ever met. My impression was that he was very knoweledgeable about the surgery and was most eager in helping in anyway. His staff were even more amazing. Escpecially his nurse Chalice she had always returned my phone calls very promptly and she is still continuing to try and get me approved. Dr. Fendley is extremely emphatic that after care is an utmost importance. Dr. Fendley never once downplayed the surgery risks but reminded me that all surgery is dangerous. I rate him and his staff an overall (A) for their efforts. I think surgical competence and beside manner are both necessary however you dont often find that anymore. Let me add that Dr. Fendley's nurse has been replaced by Aimee and I really like her disposition.

Dr. Robbins seemed very kind and understanding. He was very concerned with ensuring his patients were aware of the lifestyle changes that would take place and that they were ready to make those changes.

I am now 4 days post-op and I still have a high opinion of Dr. Robbins.

Dr. Fendley was very informative at our first meeting. He explained everything that could go wrong. His office staff were very polite to me and my parents. I think he is a very good doctor, so I have recommended him to others. He gives you plenty of information about what to expect after surgery. I have other medical problems, so he took extra care in the OR to insure that if anything went wrong he was prepared. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate him as a nine. The only problem I had while in the hospital was caused by a nurse not following the doctor's order and noone taking my surgical stockings off when they should have.

Very open and let me ask the questions.
Pulled "no punches" about the risks. You can TALK to him feel at ease.

Staff kind and attenitive.
All in the office treated me with respect.
The first 4 tests have been appointed in Nov. 16th and 18th.

He was very helpful in all my needs.
It's was not hard because I stayed on a diet all the time. They all were very nice there, so there is nothing that I did not like about every one. Don't worry about things because they will help you in every way and you can call anytime they will answer any think you need to ask them. They called me at home three time to check up on me which was very nice of them of them but I was doing very will I did not take any pain medication at home. They told me that there was a group at medical center in Dothan Al. But I was ready for it all and When I started losing it was the happiest day's of my life. Dr. Fendley was talking to me about the risks but I told him that if it hurt me It would me my time but, 254 was hurting me more. I rate Dr.Fendley number ONE in my book. Both of them are great.

I was referred to Dr. Robbins by a friend. She told me what a great Doctor he was and she was right. He seems to put his patients care first and is very informative about the surgery. His staff was also terrific.

Dr. Robbins is a very laid back kind of guy, which I like. He's very informative and answers questions easily. He explains every aspect of the surgery and elaborates on the risks as well. His staff is wonderful.

DR.ROBBINS IS VERY NICE PERSON, AND EASY TO TALK TO ABOUT WHY I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT. FOR I HAVE HAD A TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT INTHE PAST, AND DID NOT WANT ANOTHER ON THE
OTHER KNEE YET! HE TOLD ME OF ALL RISK INTHE SURGERY . I AM VERY SURE EVRYTHING WILL GO JUST FINE AND I WILL BE MORE HAPPY PERSON AND IN GOOD HEALTH THEN.
