I have only seen this lady ONCE. I called and made and appointment with her.Her office staff seems to be WONDERFUL. They got my insurance approval back in no time flat. I saw Dr. Clarey in her office when she gave me my pre-op visit to see if surgery would be the right tool for me. I had surgery on 12/05. I never saw her at the hospital. Dr Bruce did all the visits there. I have been to 1 follow up visit so far and it was also with Dr. Bruce and he seems like a very caring person I assume that Dr. Clarey did something for me because I see that she billed my insurance for $4500.00 dollars. At the meeting that I went to in July at Grandview she seemed very nice and willing to answer any questions that I may have. When I made my first trip to her office I found Dr. Clarey to be different. In my opinion she made little eye contact and seemed to be in a big rush. One thing that really upset me was that THERE WERE NO CHAIRS IN HER OFFICE THAT MY BUTT WOULD FIT IN. I HAD TO STAND UNTIL IT WAS MY TURN TO GO IN THE OFFICE. I found this very odd. You would think that she might be a little more thoughtful when it comes to large patients needs. After all, we are her bread and butter. Both she and Dr. Bruce gave me very little information about what kind of foods I would be able to eat after surgery. I was given 3 sheets of paper when I left the hospital. IT WASN'T ENOUGH INFORMATION!!! Remember that this is in my personal opinion only. I have talked to many other people that think that Dr. Clarey is wonderful. If I had it to do all over again, I would. I would do anything to make my health better and my life happier.

Dr.Clarey is GREAT. She peformed my surgery on Nov 19th 2003 and i have no regrets. She is very personable and she came to visit me everyday while i was in the hospital. I was discharged after my 3rd day and my incision looks fine.

Actually, I've met with Dr. Clarey and Dr. Bruce. They do the surgery together. They are very straightforward about the surgery, the after effects, and the complications. I find their honesty refreshing. Their website and their literature is very informative. The front desk staff aren't as warm and fuzzy as the behind the scenes staff (Jean and Patty), but they are very professional. Jean and Patty do their best to answer any questions and they also listen to your concerns carefully.

Dr. Clarey and Bruce work together.I like the ideal of having 2 surgeons in the or with me.They are both nice, experienced, and they also have better and more percise aftercare instuctions to go by for post op.than Dr Moreira .I think God wanted me to go with these doctors to begin with ,because they do sooo many more tests for pre op. testing than Dr. Moreira! Please pray for me! That all this will work out soon!!!I can't take tooo much more of this emotional roller coster I have been going through with wls!!!

Dr. Clarey/Dr. Bruce were both my doctors. I met Dr. Bruce for my initial consoltation. He was friendly and made me feel comfortable. Both Drs. performed the surgery. I saw Dr. Clarey for follow up visits. She is friendly and very positive. If I have any complaints it would be that I don't feel I have been informed enough about nutritial information. There hasn't been a structured aftercare program at least not in my case. The staff has been very kind and sensative. They were both great surgeons and I feel confident that they did an excellent job as far as the surgery.

DR. CLAREY AND DR. BRUCE WERE AT THE SLIDE SIMINAR, WHICH I FOUND TO BE VERY INFORMATIVE. THEY USED A BIG SCREEN TO HELP WITH THE PRESENTATION. THEY TOLD US OF ALL THE RISK AND COMPLICATIONS THAT CAN HAPPEN, SHOWED US HOW THE PROCEDURE IS DONE. WE WERE ALSO GIVEN A SMALL BOOK WITH ALL THE FACTS ABOUT WLS TO TAKE HOME WITH US ALONG WITH ALL THE PAPERWORK THAT NEEDED TO BE FILLED OUT BEFORE YOUR CONSULT. AFTER THE SLIDE SIMINAR THEY STAYED TO ANSER ANY QUESTIONS THAT ANYBODY HAD AND THEN IF YOU WANTED YOU WENT AND GOT IN LINE AND SPOKE WITH JEAN TO MAKE YOUR CONSULT APPOINTMENT. JEAN HERSELF HAS HAD THE SURGERY AND I FOUND HER TO BE VERY FRIENDLY. I WAS TOLD THAT BOTH DOCTORS TOGETHER WILL DO THE SURGERY. I THOUGHT THAT WAS GOOD. I LOOKED AT IT AS "TWO HEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE". I HAVE RESEARCHED BOTH DOCTORS AND FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THEM.

I meet with her aug 20 2003, so far her staff has been wonderful. They offer a free siminar and answer all your questions. Dr Clarey was there of course. I'll let you know more when I sit down with her 1on1.
She does take medicare and if by chance the insurance co. doesnt pay her office will work out a payment plan.

My first visit with Dr. Clarey and Dr. Bruce at thier office went very well. They explained everything from beginning to end. I had attended the seminar at Southview Hospital which tells all. Valerie from their office runs the seminar and has had the surgery herself.Quite inspiring. My highest weight was 405 pounds and I'm down to 180 pounds. Both doctors came and addressed any concerns before the surgery, and both were there afterwards. The after surgery support group is great. When I went back to get my staples removed I didn't feel a thing. I was wondering when she was going to start and she only had 6 to go.My scar isn't that bad. I've kept avon's Re-fine lotion for stretch marks and avon's cellulite lotion to tighten the skin as I've lost.My surgery was Jan 29,2002. I can't thank them enough for giving me back my life. They answered any question I had and reassured any concerns. I was to ready for surgery. I'd do it again if I had to, knowing what I know now. Their visit are quick and to the point.Chit chat isn't a strong hold but they listen to your concern and explain the risk in terms you can understand. I had an accident at home, I had just got home the night before and was getting up to go to the rest room and was putting on my slipper and my butt slide off the side of the bed hitting the floor hard. My first reaction was to put myself up by the side of the bed. We called Dr. Clarey and she worked me right in that day for a visit to check me.

Dr. Clarey and Dr.Bruce office was like walking into a wondering enjoyable place like a spray of sunshine.
I called and told the office what had hapened with the other doctor office and it was amazing how understanding and helpfully they were (I had the approval, test everything was set, except the dr.). In talking with Jean and she said that that night they had a session at the hospital and could I be at this session(I said YES) I went and Dr. Bruce was very informated quite at easy/laidback kind of dr. Any questions asked he had the information. Since I had been thru a different dr I figured I had all the anwsers that I needed but I didnt.I was surprised in the differences and came away with more knowledge than I had before. I filled out my paperwork and handed it to Valeria (asking her to make sure that Jean got my paperwork)

Dr Fallang very likeable and informable.

Found out 4 days before my surgery with Dr Fallang that his office wanted $5500 up front since the doctor had going out of my system. Told the office to cancel my surgery and found another dr. I do not recomend using the offices of Dr.Fallang. I was not given informating that I should have been given
