Alison Clarey Bariatric Surgeon D.O.

My first impression was actually with my husband and his surgery. Although I don't consider her to have good bedside manner, I know she is a wonderful surgeon. Office staff is great.

I have very much respect for Dr. Clarey. She is very knowledgable about thi9s procedure and i felt very comfortable.I would recomend her to anyone.They also have people in the office who also have had the surgery , And they were such a big help, especially Valerie.She is the office manager and she takes care of all the insurance, And i mean all of it.You hand her your card and thats all you take care of. It was such an easy process.

Dr Clarey is very thorough with her examination; her office staff is very concerned about the patient. They have two support groups that meet each month which I find very interesting. Very competent surgeon.

Dr. Clarey and Dr. Bruce have been wonderful. They require that you attend a seminar prior to the surgery that explains the procedure as well as the pro's and con's. At that time they provide you with an eating guide once the surgery is complete. This allows you to know exactly what you're in for prior to having the surgery. I would rate both Dr.'s as excellent. I couldn't be happier with them.

I have met with Dr.Alison Clarey on 11/18/02,and she believes I would be a good candidate for bariatric surgery. She had a good demeanor about her. I had already researched her qualifications, and I have full confidence in her ability. But beyound the Dr.'s qualifications to do the surgery is the "bedside manner". She seems to have the ability to exude that comfortable feeling one needs with this type of surgery.
She explained the surgery and listened to my concerns. My first impression is a good one. I am now "on the clock", waiting for insurance approval. I don't need good luck, I need a responsible insurance company.

Really liked her. She came highly reccomended. She has been doing the surgery for years. People have come from as far as Denver, Colorado just to have her do their surgery. She explained all of the risks in person and in writting. I can call the office at anytime and ask a question. They do have a support group too.

They did provide me with a print-out of an eating schedule, but nothing real elaborate. I can call the office anytime with quetions and they always listen. zzthey do have a support group too.
Dr. Clarey did address the risks of surgery in writting and verbally.
Dr. Clarey has been doing this a long time and I feel that she has tremendous surgical confidence and a great bedside manner. Her secure and calm nature really appealed to me!

very understanding. Just met with her twice. i have researched as much as possible. I have been thinking of this for over 2 years. The doctor i worked with specialized in beriatrics and had sugested this back then. Over the past 2 years i have seen many people who have had this done by verious doctors in my area.And have a friend who had the surgery last March. She was very high risk and yet her doctor , the same as mine was very through.I feel they took every step to insure she would be okey. She is doing fine and has lost over 250 to date.They recommend that you recieve some counsling before and after. My family docter was very supportive and made sure that records were sent promptly to help get this approved.

My first impression of Dr. Clarey was formed a the initial general information session. She appeared friendly, knowlegeable and open to questions. After I met with her at my appointment I was further impressed by her manner, knowledge and openness. The staff was effiecient and friendly.

I really liked Dr. Clarey. She answered all of my questions and my husbands questions (even though he already knew the answers). Her office staff was always pleasant.
