Amy Elizabeth Martin Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I've had my consult, Dr. Martin, is wonderful, very easy to talk to,answered all my questions, and you could tell she is very passionate and compassionate about her work. I feel very confident in her abilities and am so looking forward to working with her. Lindsey is her office assistant and she is very upbeat and helpful!

Dr. Martin is wonderful. She is warm and understanding and I instantly felt at ease with her. She is very conservative about fills and she told me this upfront. She also insists on aftercare for years following the procedure. Basically she said we were a team and would work together. She went over all the risks and possible complications and outlined the difference between the Band and the RNY. I couldn't rate her any higher. I would give her a 10 out of 10.

My first impression of Dr. Martin was on the video shown in the seminar I went to for another doc in her practice. I was very impressed with her knowledgable yet very caring attitude. That impression was confrimed on my first meeting. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Martin and her staff encourage and support patients with education and pre and post op classes and support groups. She was always upfront about risks and benefits of surgery I was thoroughly informed of every detail and every risk factor and every possible complication. Her bedside manner is awesome and she is just generally a sweet person aside from being a skilled surgeon.. I highly reccommend her to anyone interested in bariatric surgery.

Dr. Martin has been amazing. She has made me a priority from the beginning. I know that she is truly vested in my success, and that shhe will be there for me in the future. During my hospital stay she was supportive, and cautious. Since I was released she has kept communication lines open, and if I call with a question, I always get a call back the same day. I would rate her very highh in both surgical competence and bedside manner, I could not have found a better surgeon.

Dr. Martin is great. She was always kind and interested in my progress. She is a great surgeon and did a very good job with my surgery. Dr. Martin was very clear up front about the surgery and the risks involved. I had no fear of selecting her as my surgeon and would do it again in a heartbeat. I had total confidence in her skills as a surgeon. The problem with Dr. Martin is not with her but with making appointments to see her. Many times I have had an appointment and when I get there, she is caught up in surgery and I ended up waiting sometimes more than an hour to see her. I understand that she is very busy but what really got me was when patients that showed up after I did got called in before I did. That happened a couple of times and so I just stopped going to see Dr. Martin. I check in with my Primary Care Physician on a regular basis and that works just fine for me. The office staff there, particularly the two Nurse Practitioners, are not all that friendly. I am sure they are all very busy there but I sometimes felt that they could have been friendlier. This is my opionion and it may not be the same experience for all. As far as surgical competence and bedside manner, Dr. Martin ranks extremely high. She is a very nice person and a great surgeon.

Dr. Martin was and continues to be wonderful. She explains things very well. I could not have chosen a better surgeon that Dr. Martin.

I learned about Dr Martin online and did some research on her along with the other doctors in the same practice. She was upfront about what to expect and that I would be her patient for life. That she doesn't just do the surgery and send you on your way, but stays in touch with you for the rest of your life.

Dr. Martin is by far the best doctor I have ever been to. She is caring and supportive and really cares about your recovery. I will never have enough positive things to say about this chick. I really hope that if you are thinking about having surgery that you will consider her. Dr. Martin has gone above and beyond, I know that she is there whenever I need her. I have never once felt like I was just another patient to her. Thank you for everything Dr. Martin.

Dr. Martin is not only a skilled surgeon but proved to really care about her patients. After my original discharge I had to go back to the ER twice and was very upset. Dr. Martin told me not to be upset that once I hey over this hump my new lifestyle will improve and that all I have to do is follow her orders. She has great bedside manners and is available for questions. I am glad that she is my surgeon.
