First impression:Dr. Morton seems to be a very down to earth person.. Instantley made me feel at ease. Dr. Morton was able to answer all my questions before my surgery date.
As far as the staff Debbie Lee helped me with the insurance part of ot all. She was very helpful. I bugged her to death for about a month! Needless to say my surgery was approved-Thanks Debbie Lee
Shawna is the nurse? She has been helping me with all the follow up stuff. She is very sweet and has a way of making you feel better about yourself, which is a good thing.
Overall I would rate him & his team a 10!!

I first met Dr. Morton at an information seminar. My first impression was that he was very down to earth. He seemed sincere in his desire to help us all become healthier. He was not judgemental in any way. He answered questions for a very long time.....until every question had been answered. He was very patient and informative.

Dr. Morton's staff is wonderful. From the administrator who helped me submit my insurance request to the physician's assistant and nurse who do the fills. They are teriffic. My fills are completely painless. The physician's assistant is also a dietician. Both are very skilled at giving fills and counseling patients regarding how to maximize results with the band.

Dr. Morton discussed the risks of surgery with me and the commitment I would need to make for this to be successful. He made it very clear that the success of this would depend on me and my ability to change my lifestyle to include healthy meals and exercise. The band is just a tool.

I feel that Dr. Morton is an excellent surgeon with a lot of experience. My surgery was really very easy. I had it on Thursday and was back to work on Monday. I had very little pain and recovered very quickly. Dr. Morton and his staff were very attentive to my questions and made themselves available to me during recovery if I needed anything. It was a great experience.

Dr. Morton has been very nice and supportive since I met him at the first seminar. The hospital staff at Southern Hills had nothing but high praise for him, and since my surgery went smoothly I can echo that praise. When I saw him about a month after the surgery he said I was doing well and gave me further encouragement. I would recommend him and his staff highly.

I am very pleased with my doctor. I first met him at a seminar that he led. He had a slide show, and answered everyone's questions. I also met with him one-on-one the day before surgery. He went over step by step how the surgery would go and gave me very detailed post-op directions. I saw Dr. Morton the morning of surgery as well. Dr. Morton's staff, especially Shawnna, are very helpful. She has also provided all the information I need and answered any questions I have.
I feel like there is no way I could have gone wrong pre-op, I was given very specific instructions and pointers. I even received a phone call from the Dr.'s office 2 days after surgery, to check on me. That felt good! I will have follow-up appointments as well, so I don't feel like I have just been left out in the cold. I also feel comfortable picking up the phone and asking Shawnna anything.
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Morton to anyone.

Loved Dr. Morton, he spent a lot of time with me at my pre-op appointment, seemed like he would spend as much time as needed and didn't feel rushed. He and his PA spent time with my husband after surgery and explained everything and visited me right before surgery. Office staff is fantastic, especially Debbie Lee who helps get all insurance issues dealt with.

Stresses importance of follow-up visits. I trusted him completely and his bedside manner is great too!

I spoke to him at the seminar, he was great. My pre-opp date is scheduled for 11-10-2004. So far everyone had been wonderful. I owe much thanks to Mrs. Debbie Lee at the Medical Weight Management center at Souther Hills. She guided me through every step of the process.

At the seminar, I was reserve in my opinion; however, when I met Dr. Morton for my pre-op appointment, I found him to be genuinely sincere and compasionate to my situation.

Shawnna, his assistant, is great.

I have not had my post op appointment yet to discuss aftercare, etc. but I believe there is a a clinic specifically for this and I will elaborate further once I know more.

I found Dr. Morton, Shawnna, and the staff at Southern Hills to be great in every respect. Surgical compentence was evident and bedside manner was good!

Dr. Morton was extremely well spoken and informative. He really seemed that he was their to help his patients. The office staff was more than willing to answer any questions that I had. I can't think of anything that I didn't like about Dr. Morton and his staff. If you are dealing with Dr. Morton just know that he cares about you and has your best interest at heart. He has a very well structured aftercare program. Dr. Morton details the risk point blank, On a scale of 1-10 I would rate him a 15. Dr. Morton is social with his patients if is confident in his abilities as a surgeon.

I met with Dr. Morton April 19th, He was soooo nice. Shawna was very sweet also. Everyone in the whole hospital was very sweet and helpful. Dr. Morton is very layed back, very knowledgeable. I have to say I was very comfortable with everything. I would defantly recommend him to anyone that wanted Lap Band.
