My overall experience has been great. They originally did not have a full time nutritionist, but that has changed now and helps tremendously. rnrnDr. Morton only does lap-band now.rnrnAt the time, he was working between 2 hospitals which could get confusing since he worked only certain days at each. My surgery was at Baptist but my pre surgery visit was at Southern Hills.

Dr. Morton was very reassuring and very willing to answer all my questions about the surgery. His office and staff are very caring and very helpful. I would recommend him to anyone who was looking to have the lap-band surgery.

My First impression of Dr. Morton was a kind very gentle and knowledgable man.rn The office staff was very nice. I have been waiting 7 weeks for them to even turn in my paper work .rn Also a web-site tennesseebandits@ yahoo groups. He went through all the pros-and cons . I would give Dr.Morton a 10 and his office staff responsible for insurance approvals a 3.rnWow so much has changed in 4 years. I was denied surgery the first go around. Now I am back - with a new insurance company. I was approved with the first visit to his obesity clinic at Baptist hospital. They called my insurance company on the spot. There was no horsing around this time. Now all thats left is all the little hoops to jump through :) THE OFFICE STAFF Is TOP NOTCH !!!

I HAVEN'T MET HIM YET BUT I'M ALMOST AT THAT STAGE. BUT I HAVE HEARD THAT HE'S ONE IF NOT THE BEST. I MET DR. MORTON ON JULY 16, I THINK HE'S GREAT, VERY NICE, SAT US DOWN AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AND TOLD US WHY WE COULD OR COULDN'T EAT CERTAIN THINGS. AND THE RISK OF ANY SURGERY BUT HE GAVE US NUMBERS WHEN HE EXPLAINED THE RISK OF SURGERY. AND HE HAS A GREAT MANNER TOWARDS HIS PATIENTS. GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR HE KNEW I WANTED THIS SURGERY SOON SO HE GAVE ME JULY 30, 07 I REALLY LIKE HIM. HE HAS DONE A WHOLE LOT OF SURGERIES AND I TRUST HIM. HE DON'T ACT LIKE HE'S GREATER THAN THOU LIKE A LOT OF DOCTORS. HE'S DOWN TO EARTH. HE'S THE DOCTOR FOR ME! AND THE STAFF ARE VERY NICE I KNOW ONE OF THEM VERY WELL I USE TO WORK WITH HER AND HAVE KNOWN HER FOR YEARS. SHE'S GREAT DOES A GOOD ORDERLY JOB. BUT ALL OF THEM WERE VERY NICE TO ME. DR. MORTON EXPLAINED TO US HOW IMPORTANT AFTERCARE IS. OF COURSE SURGICAL COMPETENCE IS MOST IMPORTANT AND THE BEDSIDE MANNER IS JUST AN ADDED PLUS. SO FAR I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT DR. MORTON EXCEPT HE WAS LATE BUT SO WAS I. I HAD TO GO GET MY BLOOD WORK AND THEY MADE ME LATE BUT IT WORKED OUT BETTER FOR ME. DOCTOR MORTOR DID MY SURGERY JULY 30TH IT WENT GREAT EXCEPT IT WAS HARD TO GET MY PAIN UNDER CONTROL BECAUSE I TAKE A LOT OF MED'S AT HOME BUT PER DOCTOR'S ORDERS AFTER THERY GOT MY PAIN UNDER CONTROL THEY GAVE ME PLENTY OF PAIN MEDICATION AND KEPT IT UNDER CONTROL. DR MORTOR DID A WONDERFUL JOB ON MY SURGERY I JUST THINK HE'S THE BEST, HE KNOW'S WHAT HE IS DOING AND IS VERY NICE AND CARING, IF I HAD TO DO IT OVER I WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WHO TO CHOOSE, IT WOULD BE DR. MORTON. HE HAS GIVEN ME A TOOL TO WORK WITH FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE AND I WON'T LET MYSELF OR DR. MORTON DOWN I HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME. THANK YOU DR. MORTON! I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT DR. MORTON BECAUSE I DIDN'T SEE ANTHING NEGITIVE ABOUT HIM. Excellent surgeon and staff! They are extremely caring people. He is definitely an advocate for aftercare followups and a support group. I completely trust Dr. Morton. I even went back to him to remove my gallbladder when I was having major problems with it functioning properly.

At the time I had my band put in Dr. Morton was the only surgeon in Nashville doing this type of surgery. He is really great & every year he gets better and his follow up program gets better, he is the best choice in Nashville in my opinion.

I was very impressed with Dr Morton from the first time we met. He is genuinely concerned about your long term success. In the hospital awaiting surgery he took the time to sit with my husband and I just making small talk. He has an excellent bedside manor and is very down to earth. I would rate Dr Morton a 10 out of 10.

My first impression of Dr. Morton was that he was very kind and he knew his stuff! He has done between 900-1000 surgeries so I felt that he was very qualified. He answered all of my questions and was never condescending. He even gave me a book on Lap Band to read before the surgery. My impression still remains the same. He is kind and very helpful. His office staff is also very friendly and laughed at my lame jokes. :) There wasn't really anything to dislike about Dr. Morton. He consistently reminded me about what foods to watch, made sure I was exercising. I go to school in Michigan and he made sure to find a lap band surgeon up here in case of emergencies. He had a great bedside manner and made me feel confident since I was a litte leery about what I was getting myself into. He did say that I was not as overweight as most of his patients but did say that overseas the lap band has been used successfully on overweight people and that it would be an excellent tool for me. I am happy with my doctor. Both his surgical competance and bedside manner were great and I would definitely give him 10 out of 10. I really don't have anything negative to say about him.

CHARLES MORTON IS THE BEST HE WAS VERY KIND AT MY BEDSIDE WHEN THEY WERE PREPPING ME FOR SURGERY, HE EVEN CALLED TO THE ROOM TO TELL MY MOM I WAS FINE I THINK HE IS THE BEST IN TN AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM AND HIS STAFF TO ANYONE THEY ARE WONDERFUL WHEN I GO FOR MY FILLS THEY ARE ALWAYS KIND AND TAKE TIME OUT FOR SMALL TALK THE STAFF AND DR. MORTON ARE JUST GREAT
