Dr. Connie Campbell was professional, caring, and concerned. I had some complications after my surgery and she was extremely attentive to my needs and recovery. I never felt alone in the very extensive recovery period. Dr. Campbell is very smart and researched all available treatments for my complication and advised me thoroughly. I would recommend her to everyone considering weight loss surgery!!!

Fabulous! Honest, patient, recommended and highly respected by her colleagues. CMC and especially the nursing staff were amazing! I felt well taken care of and so happy I chose the team at The Obesity Treatment Center!

I met Dr Campbell 7 years earlier when she removed breast cancer from my wife's breast. She was kind but straight forward. She saved my wife's life. Our PCP said she was one of the best around. 1st impression was that she looked like she was 20 years old. rnI like the fact that she is a strong advocate for her patients. The hospital staff stands a little straighter when they know she's your doctor. She was attentive in the hospital and explained everything in detail. I have a lot of confidence in her.

* What was your first impression of him/her? So far, good. She doesn't rush you and provides solid, fact driven responses to questions.
* How did your impression change over time?
Too early to tell.
* How would you describe his/her office staff? Great so far.
* What did you like least about him/her? this is general so not a direct issue with her (I don't think). I waited a month for an appointment. I was ready two months ago. Prior to my appointment (about two weeks), the appointment was moved out almost a month. It then got move out two more days. I'm a stickler about commitments. Not a killer, but was stressful for me especially that I was ready. Other than that, I've been happy so far.
* What should future patients know about him/her? Nothing negative at all so far. She exceeded my expectations.
* How much does he/she emphasize aftercare? She stresses that the surgery is a tool. Exercise and eating right are critical for success. Nothing new, but she brought additional perspectives.
* Does he/she have a structured aftercare program? TBD
* How did he/she address the risks of surgery? Openly and honestly. I have no concerns about the surgery.
* How would you rate him/her overall? TBD
* Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great? Both, but if I had to choose, competence... I can deal with bad bedside manner.

I was very fortunate in that I had met Connie Campbell, professionally, before I met has as my own surgeon. I liked her immediately. Connie has a very thorough and straight forward approach. You will explain everything in detail and makes sure to answer any and all questions you may have. She has great surgical technique and obviously cares about her patients. I consider myself very fortunate to have had Connie Campbell do my RNY and give her my highest recommendation.

Dr Campbell is a great great physician. When I had my first meeting with her I was still on the fence about which surgery to have. She spent almost and hour in the office with me discussing both types and answering all of my questions except which surgery I should have. Becouse my fiance had had the Lap Band and did not have great success with it I was nervous about having the same issues. Dr Campbell never tried to push me one way or the other, she just provided me with all the information and some of her opinions. She was great through the whole thing. rnrnEven in Pre Op she was great. I have never had surgury before but she was awsome explaining everything and reasuring me that it would be ok. rnrnNo complaints what so ever. This here is an awsome surgeon.

Dr. Campbell is at the top of her game! She also has a reputation for being a stickler at the hospital so the staff run circles around themselves to adhere to her orders, which leads to excellent outcomes. She is extremely skilled with using laproscopic procedures and seems to be able to avoid ANY \"open\" surgeries. At least as importantly she saw me after the surgery MORE THAN ONCE PER DAY while I was in the hospital. I never ever had that kind of attention from a surgeon before.rnrnUnfortunately there is only one of her on this earth, otherwise I would tell everyone to get on her waiting list. My understanding of risk factors weighs the skill and experience of the surgeon as a huge factor - her track record kept me confident that I would do well, which I have.

My first impression? She is too young to be my surgeon!!! But she instantly put me at ease as we talked and I am thrilled to have her watching over me at this time in my life. She pulls no punches, and is great to work with. I am blessed. Her staff has been kind to me and I will meet her PA soon. So stay tuned. Dr. C works from Catholic Medical Center and their Obesity Treatment Program - all of whom are fabamondo! They even let me bring my baby Maya to my appointments. Maya is my Mini Longhair Daschund - and the staff seems to love her almost as much as I do! Dr. C, the staff at CMC Obesity TX and everyone I encountered was great. The classes at CMC were very helpful as a support and finding out about pre and post op issues. I wish they would do some support classes during the day for those of us who live a distance away. I feel that I have been gently guided thru this entire process by people who really care, and I can spot a phony a mile away! I wish that the person doing the IV had listened to me better because when it was all said and done I was stuck a total of 5 times, including one in my neck. Not fair!!!! Apparently I also enjoyed the medication just a bit too much, so I stayed an extra day. Getting back home was great, but sleeping on your back is no fun for a stomach sleeper, and I was not ready for that. But as I heal, back on my stomach I have gone. Overall, everyone I worked with to get to this point has been wonderful and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who asked.
