I think Dr. G is a great doctor and a person. He not only cares about you as his patient but he cares for you as a person.
My impression of him has not changed even today if I called him he would still be there for me when I need it
Everyone in his office gives you the same impression as Dr. G. His staff and him as well are very caring people
I felt he stressed that more than anything. The surgery is the easy part this is a major life change.

Dr. Goodman was wonderful. He listened to me and answered all my questions in detail. I lived in Maryland and he did everything over the phone/email with me (What kind of doctor would go out of his way to call me back on his own cell phone waiting in traffic just to answer an email I had written him). My doctor here wasn't to happy about me doing this surgery but he followed up with everything Dr. Goodman needed me to have done before the surgery, such as all the pre-req's. To get the insurance company to pay for it.
His office staff was wonderful/ the hospital was great.
I would rate Dr. Goodman an 11 out of 10 any day!!
Really I can't complain about anything with him or his staff.

Dr. Goodman really lives up to his name, he truly is a "Good" "Man." Kind, warm and considerate, caring and patient, he's absolutely everything you could hope for in a surgeon.
No matter how busy he gets, he ALWAYS makes time for me. I can e-mail him, or call the office and he always gets back to me. During appointments, he never rushes and he pays CLOSE attention to what is being said.
I was in the hospital for six weeks and VERY sick, and many times both Doctor Goodman and his Partner Doctor Holup (another Angel here on earth) just HELD my hand and soothed my fears and panics and did everything to reassure me that I would be okay.
I cry sometimes thinking how God has blessed me by sending these two wonderful doctors to take care of me. And I thank him daily for doing so.

WELL I SPOKE TO DR GOODMAN FOR THE FIRST TIME HE WAS VERY NICE AND OFFERED HIS HELP.,I GOT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT ON JAN 18,2001- I'M VERY EXCITED!!!
5/12/01-DR GOODMAN IS THE BEST.,I THANK GOD I CHOSE HIM., HE IS SOO SWEET AND CAME TO SEE ME EVERY DAY WHILE I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL. I HAVE NOTHING BUT THE BEST TO SAY ABOUT HIM.,MAY HE ALWAY BE BLESSED!!!
THANK U DR GOODMAN FOR MAKING MY LIFE BETTER!!!! :)

The first time that I meet Dr. Goodman I was very nervous, I went with my mother, the first impression was when I get in his office a very profetional staff and very clean office. His staff are very open with the people, since the day 1 they answer and explain to you all your questions. I'm a very insecure person but when I meet Dr. Goodman he give me the strength after he explain to me all the procidure to go on with my surgery. also with his web I teach to my children all the procidure of the surgery, like that i can answer all my children question and they can feel save with the decision that I make. I think with this program that Dr. Goodman have the patient feel more confortable to have a surgery like this.
Thank,s to Dr. Goodman and his staff.
Sincerely,
Diahann Chacon and Fam.

My experience with Dr. Goodman was wonderful. Although a very busy man, he took time to visit me prior to surgery to reduce my anticipation and to answer last minute questions. The male residents on his surgical team was excellent. However, there was one comment from the female resident that I didn't care for. Just before discharge I was asked if I felt well enough to go home...I said "Once I'm strong enough to walk to the bathroom...I know I'm ready" (I had just had the catherer removed). She said "Walk to the bathroom...Were you able to walk to the bathroom before you came here?" Feeling a little disoriented and uncomfortable I said " Of course, I could walk before I came in here" She said " Well, I lot of you people can't" I wasn't feeling well so I let it go but the more I thought about it the more angry I became, Exactly what kind of people was she referring to ? (Fat people, Black people, Tall people)How insensitive, ignorant.....
Dr. Goodman was great and I would rate him a 10+, Montefiore as a hospital: 7

First let me start off by saying that Dr. Gooman was not my intial Doctor. I was scheduled to have my operation done by Dr. Driscoll. I had waited a very long time to see Dr. Driscoll and he was out of town or something. Dr. Goodman agreed to see me and do my operation and basically pick up where Dr. Driscoll left off.
My first impression of Dr. Goodman was that he was a short kind looking man with a nice accent. Over time I found out that he is a caring and kind hearted person who cares a lot about his patients.
Dr. Goodmans office staff are very helpful and informative people who try theie best to help you in any way possible.
I had discussed after care and risk with Dr. Driscoll, but Dr. Goodman wanted to go over the basics with me since I was going to be in his care. Overall I think that Dr. Goodman has been one of the best doctors that I have ever had. He cares about his patients, he knows how much this surgery means to some people and he tries his best to make you fell comfortable.

LET ME SAY THAT I'M MORE THAN HAPPY THAT I MET WITH DR.GOODMAN. HE SENT ME A E-MAIL AND JUST FROM THAT I KNEW HE WAS THE MAN TO MEET. I CALLED HIS OFFICE AND GOT AN APPOINTMENT FOR JAN.4 2001. MY DAUGHTER ALSO ACCOMPANIED ME ON MY VISIT AND SHE TOO MET WITH DR. GOODMAN. WE ARE BOTH LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING OUR SURGERIES DONE BY DR.GOODMAN. I WILL BE MEETING WITH SOME OF HIS STAFF MEMBERS ON FEB. 28TH. I CAN ALREADY SEE THAT THEY ARE WILLING IN EVERY WAY TO BE OF GREAT HELP. I'M PRAYING TO GET A DATE IN MARCH FOR MY SURGERY. MY DAUGHTER IS LOOKING FOR A DATE IN APRIL. LET'S JUST PRAY THAT BOTH OUR DREAMS COME TRUE. ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED WITH WEIGHT PROBLEMS CAN UNDERSTAND THE JOY OF KNOWING THERE IS HELP IN THE FIGHT AGAINST THE BATTLE OF WEIGHT. I'M READY TO JOIN THE ARMY OF DR. GOODMAN AND MARCH TO VICTORY. WILL UPDATE AS SOON AS I GET A DATE.

my first impression was that dr. ggodman was young and very experienced. he was always available. his office staff was kind and helpful. since he was a surgeon, he was a little difficult to reach - but always returned my phone calls. aftercare is a very important part of the recovery. it is a lifetime committment, and i am learning that over turn, weight is still a phycial and emotional struggle and must be worked on each and every day.

I haven't met with Dr. Goodman yet. However, I spoke to Mary at his office. She was very nice. I have an appointment with Dr. Goodman on March 5th. My aunt and some of her family members have had the surgery with Dr. Goodman in 2000. He was recommended highly and all are going well. I look forward to meeting him. I'm hoping to have my surgery in June when I get out of school (I'm a teacher.).
