Dr. Eagon was top notch from the very beginning. He took the time to talk with me about my decision and he didn't pull any punches. He was completely honest with me and did an awesome job with the surgery. The follow up visits have also been very good. He listens to my concerns and gives honest and straightforward opinions and answers. No regrets whatsoever.

Have now meet with Dr. Eagon twice and completely impressed. He never pressured me to make a decision, I was torn between RNY and lapband. Once my decision was made, he then told me he felt I made the right choice. I have absolute faith in his abilities but still scared that something may go wrong and i won't be here for my son.

Very first impression was somewhat skeptical. Made me lose 30 plus pounds beforewe went any further. But after I did, I realized it was for my own bewnefit for two reasons: to help him with the laproscopic instruments (due to my scar tissue) and to help in my recovery (linit the bruising and bleeding)
I am trusting his experience in difficult cases and fully comfortable with Dr.Eagon and Staff. He comes highly recommended and I would encourage anyone in the St. Louis/Southern IL area to consider him. His Staff Member, Angela Britt, helped in expediting the Insurance Claim and stayed right on top of things for my benefit.

Dr. Eagon performed by surgery in June 2007 and it went great. I've lost over 250 pounds since then and I'm a new man. I have no regrets and I have a whole new life now. The whole program at Barnes is great and they know their stuff. But you have to stick with the program and do what they say. Recovery was hard at first, but believe me, it it well worth it and after a few months, you'll never remember it. I would do it again it a second. Dr. Eagon rocks!

I have only been to the seminar to meet Dr. Eagon as of now. He led the seminar himself and was very informative. He doesn't beat around the bush or sugar coat anything. He just tells it like it is. He gave out a packet of information that thoroughly covered all the pros and cons of each type of surgery. He showed a slide show of all the info in the papers and explained it all in detail. I was very impressed with his answers to the questions asked by potential patients. He was patient and didn't treat any question as too stupid. An office worker of his, who was also a recent patient, spoke to us about insurance after he was finished and he even stuck around for most of that conversation as well. My overall opinion of Dr. Eagon is excellent. I'll update more after my appt.rnrn Since my appointment, my opinion of Dr. Eagon hasn't changed. The man knows his stuff and he is very easy to talk to. He explains things in a way that is easy to understand and is very comforting. He addressed my worries about the risks of lapband by comparing the risks in relation to other surgeries. That took some of the fear out of the idea for me. I'm going to have a long relationship with him, so it is great that he is so easy to work with.

Well, first I must confess I researched gastric bypass surgery for the past 7 years. I also researched every doctor that I could find that was within a reasonable driving time, St. Louis, Chicago, Paducah, Springfield, IL, etc. Anyway, Dr. Eagon's name ALWAYS came up AND I was not disappointed. It was so nice and refreshing to have such a confident surgeon, one who laid it all out on the table and said here is what I can do for you, here are the statistics, you decide your next step. If anyone would like to speak with me regarding Dr. Eagon, do not hesitate to contact me. He has my full recommendation!!!!

I thought Dr. Eagon was very kind, he explained what he was going to do, and answered all of my questions, he was very nice. I loved his nurse Donna-she was a hoot! The other nurses were just as nice....I will be having surgery at Barnes West Hospital. rnDr. Eagon had a internist named Brian Neumann, and he was GREAT, so kind and considerate like Dr. Eagon. If anyone has the opportunity to have Dr. Eagon, they are in very safe hands. I loved both of them....

I thought Dr.Eagon was very informative. When I explained my problems, he sat down and explained what my issue was, he even drew a diagram so that I could see a visual of what was going on. He gave me a thorough exam. I really like him.

I have only met him once in the informational meeting. He was waiting for one of his patients to be prepped so he led the class himself instead of having his nurse Donna do it. He seems brilliant and encouraging. Donna is a kind hearted person who has put up with my incessent (sp?) phone calls. I hope the actual visit goes as well as the informational meeting does.
