Dr. Kuhn's office staff are wonderful! The nutritionist was very encouraging and knowledgable. The insurance lady did a fantastic job and was always patient with me when I called in. The scheduler was as interested in getting the right date for me as I was in finding it. Dr. Kuhn is comfortable to talk to and has a good reputation. He has a good program in place for pre-operative. I haven't had my surgery yet so can't speak for post-operative or how he did, but I have confidence that these areas will go well.

Dr. J. Kuhn, Baylor Hospital, Dallas, Texas was very good.

Dr. Kuhn was the greatest!!!! Fine Christian man in my books. He has a very gentle way about him. Good bedside manner. I just wished I could be more in touch with him. It's kind of hard since I'm in Hawaii and he resides in Texas.
I would definitely refer him to other soon to be patients of bariatric surgery.

I started this second journey just on wanting to talk to someone about this, not fully thinking anything would happen. Dr. Kuhn is very attentitve and catches things that people say that might be a flag. I was one of those, come to find out, I was having issues with my previous surgery. Part of my staple line was opening up, and around my ring had a partial blockage, which if I had left alone, would have caused major problems down the road.

His staff is wonderful and caring, and I could not be happier with the care I have received.

Dr. Kuhn was very professional, friendly, compassionate, answering all my questions, giving me as much time as I needed. He's the same now as he was at my first appointment. The office staff is wonderful; friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions.rnDr. Kuhn spent a lot of time explaining the pre and post op care. As a nurse I know that any surgery has risks, but he explained the unique risks of laproscopic RNY Gastric Bypass surgery in particular. He and his nutritionist have also prepared detailed instructions/dietary information/contact information in booklet form so I had somethiong to refer to that helped my compliance.rnI rate Dr. Kuhn A+, #1, the absolute BEST! That rating is for both surgical competence and bedside manner.rnThe only thing about my own personal experience that I would change is the communication between Dr. Kuhn's office and my PCP's office. For some crazy reason I had to be the \"go-between\". Maybe that's because WLS Surgical Associates (Dr. Kuhn's Team) is in Dallas and Dr. Chas. A. Carlton (my PCP) is in Fort Worth. Dallas and Fort Worth are only 30 miles apart, and with so much sophisticated technology available today, I was surprised that they couldn't manage to communicate without my help!!!

First impression - Nice, Polite, Kind and really cared about helping me live a new life.rnrnMy impression has not changed.rnrnOffice staff at first was difficult to gain an impression, due to the constant change from Fort Worth to two Dallas offices. Then the office changed to the Baylor Dallas office. I love the staff there. Now there is a North Dallas office. rnrnDr. Kuhn does suggest aftercare.rnrnI did a year after surgery have my gall bladder removed and Dr. Kuhn did perform that surgery as well!!rnrnOverall rate I have already referred one patient (co-worker) waiting for insurance approval and I am urging another co-worker to look into weight loss surgery thru Dr. Kuhn as well

He is awsome. He was always nice. He never made me feel rushed or like what I was asking was stupid. Anytime I had any problems after surgery he called me back personally to see how he could help.rnrnLOVE HIM!!!!

From my personal experience I absolutely think the world of Dr Kuhn. He was completely professional and my husband really thought good of him too. Just an FYI, my husband can smell a bad person a mile away so when he liked Dr Kuhn the first time he met him, I was very excited because I had already decided that he would be my Dr. regardless. LOL Anyhow, his office staff is great too and I had dealt with another office in Dallas a yr before and they scared me from getting the Band, I then decided to do more research and I am so thankful that God led me to choose Dr Kuhn and his staff. I truly believe there is a reason for everything and would encourage anyone seeking a Dr in the DFW area to look into Dr Kuhn @ wlsdocs.comrnrnAt first I thought he was a bit overprotective with my GERD, but he really wanted me to have a scope before surgery to put any doubt aside of whether the Band was right for me or not, but I am so glad that he is competent in what he does and believes first hand in safety and the patient's best interest and is not there to make a quick buck like the previous surgeon I went to. Thanks and I hope my personal experience helps others.
