Kenneth Graniero Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

My first impression of Doctor Graniero was very good. I thought he was friendly, funny,
very professional and explained the surgery to me throughly, and answered any questions or concerns I had. My impression of him over time has even improved more, I truly believe he is a excellent surgeon. I have to admit some people might get offended by him because he is strict about following his orders before surgery and after surgery, but I realize he is being strict for our own good. As far as the staff, my favorite is Kelly who handles all the scheduling, Lynn is very sweet and helpful too, most of them are very nice! Future patients should know that even though Doctor Graniero can be very kind, he takes his job serious and is a excellent surgeon and is very concerned for his patients health and well being. As far as aftercare, Doctor Graniero likes you to come in often to keep a watch on you and answer any questions or concerns. Doctor Graniero did explain to me the risks of surgery and explained possible side affects.
If I had to rate Doctor Graniero, I would give him a "10" I believe he is a excellent surgeon and very very knowledgeable!!! I would definately recommend him to anyone!!!

From the first day I met with Dr. Graniero, I really liked him. Dr. Graniero tells you like it is, which I believe is one of his best assets. He explained the surgery to me a few times before I had it done, and told me of the risks involved. His emphasis on aftercare is HUGE. His office staff is very supportive, and his nurse Terri, is fantastic also. I can't wait to go into the office and hear her "praise" me after I have had a great week of weight loss. I look forward to it!!
Dr. Graniero is a great doctor, whose surgical competence is phenomenol. He not only does bariatric surgery, he is a cardiothoracic surgeon also. I would reccommend him to anyone. I do have to say though, that he could improve a little on his bedside manner...

I had surgery with Dr. Graniero on November 19,2003. He is a very skilled surgeon and i was blessed with NO COMPLICATIONS.He is an excellent surgeon,very informative and competent when it comes to the gastric bypass surgery.His office staff are very nice and will answer any questions you may have.I would highly recommend Dr.Graniero to others for his expertise in performing this life changing and saving surgery.

Dr. Graniero has been absolutely wonderful! He was very impressed with my progress at the hospital and also on 1 week post-op appointment with him. He is very straight forward and to the point. I know some people have thought him to be a bit cold to them. I think he knows the people that are really willing and able to beat this disease and if you are, he will do everything in his power to be there for you.

I have met with Dr. Graniero,and he was very pleasant and informative. I am still waiting for approval from my insurance co.

Dr. Graniero was very nice and understanding of the plight of Obese people. He went over both procedures with me(even though I knew I wanted the LapBand) He explained how his office handles the surgeries. They put in the paperwork to insurance before they make you go for all the pre-op testing. He does require you to lose 5% of your body weight before surgery.

My surgeon is Dr.Ken Graniero. I am kind of familiar with his reputation in the community, so I was comfortable in choosing him. He has a great bedside manner, and (whether you like it or not!) is very honest. He isnt trying to just sell this surgery, which really eased my mind. He has genuine concern for our success, and won't even PRETEND he can offer you his services, if he feels you're not a legitimate candidate. His office staff has been great. When I first entered the office, I was intimidated by the rather thin, perfectly-tanned staff member...You know, there I was, inquiring about WLS!! To say the least, she has been of more help to me than anyone, in my life-long struggle against my weight. They have done everything possible to coordinate my appointments, to 'expediting' the process. What did I like the least? Well, I guess that would be the wait for insurance approval, which of course, is out of their hands. My surgery is scheduled for Jan. 28th... I'll be more than happy to update this in about a month! (Pray for me!)

I like Dr. Graniero. He has a nice bedside manner, does not make you feel rushed and answered all my questions. His office staff was very nice also, especially Kelly who is scheduling all my testing etc.

He is a man who is not only very skilled, but has a wonderful bedside manner too! His office staff is very friendly and helpful. Finally someone people in this area can go to and be confident about without having to tavelt far away from thier families...!! He sat in his office with me and addressed all the benefits and risks of surgery and told me about the structured program that his office has. I highly reccommend him!
