I went to a seminar and that was my first impression of Dr. McClellan, and some of her staff and I was very inpressed, they know their stuff, I had my first visit in the office with Dr.McClellan and she is very nice and tells you everything you need to know and takes her time with you and my daughter went with me to the visit and the dr. included her in the visit as well. the staff was great and I felt like I had been going to see them all for ever, so at this point I would tell anyone looking for a surgeon she is the one. rn

I have picked Dr. LaDonna Bryant from Harvard. She's the best doctor ever. So glad to have meet her. She has been holding my hard though all of this so far. Her staff is wonderful. rnrnDr. Bryant is on leave for whatever reason and Dr. McClellen has taken her place and she is just as wonderful. It's so exciting to have wonderful doctors.

She was the third bariatric surgeon I'd seen and hopefully third time is the charm. My original surgeon went on leave and her back up, McClellan was originally only doing follow-up care. I tried to get a referral to see an out-of-network surgeon, but the day the referral was finally submitted I got a date with Dr. McClellan. I was very impressed with her thoroughness and testing of understanding. I was given a true/false quiz to review the important apects and risks of the surgery. Her team was very nice and welcoming. They have redeemed themselves from my original comments from my first conversations with them. (I guess it wasn't their fault my surgeon went on a leave of absense, but someone had take the brunt of the frustration...I think we ALL did!)

'Dr. McClellan is awesome. She takes the time to listen to you. Her office staff are also great. Everybody there wants you to be successful. I would have given up the fight if it weren't for all of them. Thanks to Lore

Dr. McClellan is a lovely and intelligent woman. I met with her twice before surgery, and was impressed by her personable and approachable nature; she answered any questions I had and never made me feel silly for asking anything. Her office staff, nurses, psychiatrist, and nutritionist are all very nice as well. I seem to have sailed through surgery, which she performed with no problems (so far, knock on wood!), and am looking forward to her comprehensive aftercare program.

My first impression of Dr. McClellan is that she knows her stuff. She made sure to answer EVERY question posed. I originally listened to her speak at Condell Hospital's "Answer Night" and she made a point of coming over to me after the event to further answer one of my questions! I was very impressed! I went to my inital consultation armed with four pages of questions to ask (courtesy of OH.com... THANKS!) and by the time we finished talking about the whole thing, she had answered almost EVERY question before I had to ask! I've NEVER had that happen before! Those that I did ask, I felt she answered thoroughly and I left feeling extremely positive. She addressed every aspect of the surgery, including that this is not to be undertaken lightly, it IS surgery and with every surgery there are risks.

Her office staff are very welcoming and helpful, they answered all the questions I had and some I didn't think to ask! They were great assisting me with the paperwork and never did I feel rushed. Dr. McClellan does have a structued aftercare program that all her patients are required to participate in and she makes sure her patient's know that upfront. Personally, I believe this is extremely important and I like knowing that I would NOT be sewn up and sent packing to figure it out by myself.

I've heard many positive things about Dr. McClellan and her staff and to date I feel extremely comfortable putting myself in her hands.

My first visit with Dr. McClellan was very
informative and easy. She is very pleasant
and her staff as well. I just had one meeting with her but plan to proceed with the necessary steps toward surgery.

The office is very nice and relaxing in a way.

I went to Dr. McClellan and happened to be getting sick at the same time so I wasn't very receptive in all I was told. Since then I've caught up and am so happy with the whole office. Dr. McClellan is very professional and seems quite knowledgeable and I feel quite comfortable with her doing my surgery. I am confidant that she has a lot of experience with these surgeries. Aftercare is an important time and they stressed how very important it is, to be successful. Dr. McClellan has an excellant program in nutrition and I was very impressed with both my first meeting with the nutritionist and with the psycologist. I am looking forward to having my surgery and I know that Dr. McClellan and her staff will make my whole procedure both before and after surgery, as easy and well informed as possible. I know that everything can go wrong but I have faith that I will make it through it with minimal problems. The doctor tried to put me at rest over my concern over my age.
It makes my 125 mile commute well worth it.

Dr. McClellan is a kind, warm, friendly woman and a competent, caring, thoughtful surgeon. Her office staff is friendly and fun to be around. You are treated as though you are their only patient of the day. The doctor does explain the various risks involved with this type of surgery and takes extraordinary measures during your hosptial stay to make sure that you are kept comfortable, safe and well. I was visited several times by Dr. McClellan, her staff, and my own physician during my 3 day hospital stay. She keeps you in her care for a year's worth of evaluations and support. Daily exercise at home and attendance at a monthly support group are requirements. If you are considering this surgery, meet with this doctor...she will put your fears and anxieties to rest with her calming manner and years of experience.

Dr. McClellan and her staff were WONDERFUL! From the very first, they were supportive, kind and caring. Dr. McClellan herself took time to explain everything very clearly, and answered all questions with great patience. The program emphasised education and understanding the lifestyle changes that would be necessary after surgery, and ensuring that one was psychologically ready to undergo the procedure.
Perioperatively, the pain management was excellent. Dr. McClellan's staff called me at home during the first week to ensure that I was continuing to heal well. There is a structured aftercare program, and monthly support group meetings help to continue the education and support process in the postoperative phase. I heartily recommend Dr. McClellan and her program.
