Dr. McClellan was the best! Competence and bedside manner were great. Office staff friendly and knowledgeable as well. She has a very structured aftercare program and strongly emphasizes aftercare.

Well it's been almost 5 years since I have had my WLS. I started out being obese and now am just overweight... that is according to the bmi index. I am a shortie at 5'1 and currently weigh 143. rnrnI feel great , I had no problems , I eat whatever I want but still smaller portions than before.. I can however eat sweets :(rnrnI loved Dr.Leslie and her staff , and I thank God everyday I am alive and well..rnrnrn

My first impression of Dr. McClellan was that she was very knowledgeable and personable. She explained the procedures in detail, and was willing to answer all of my questions. (And I had a lot!) I have not felt that she was in a hurry, and she gave me all of the time that I needed when we have talked. Her office staff have been very friendly and helpful. Nancy in insurance took charge of getting my approval and was very thorough and organized. The nurses, Corrine, Jean and Maria have been caring and helpful -- and always easy to reach when I have any questions. Overall, I would rate her office excellent, and would recommend her to anyone interested in WLS.

Dr. McClellan has been FAN-TAS-TIC throughout the entire process and her staff is amazing too. SHE is my angel!

Dr. McClellan conducts her self in a very professional manner. She took the time to address all my concerns. I got the feeling she really cares about people. Doctors I have seen in the past have a callow, I’m better then you, it’s your fault you fat attitude. I never saw any hint of that kind of radiance from Dr. McClellan. She truly cares. My surgeon was Dr Leslie McLellan. My first impression of her was that she is a very intelligent and skillful person. As I have had appointments over time, my impressions have been proven accurate.rnrnHer office staff are very helpful and friendly. They are just a phone call away. They treat every question seriously. They do not seem to mind what time of day that you call. rnrnI have not encountered any negative things about Dr Mcclellan. I highly recommend her. rnrnI have had excellent after care. It is highly structured. I have been given excellent handouts to follow and at my visits we talk about my progress and any questions that I may have. My eating plan is on the very conservative side but I think that is good. I have not had any issues with dumping or vomiting.rnrnDr. McClellan made sure that I understood all the risks of this surgery as I was considered a high risk patient. But every thing went without a hitch. rnrnI would highly recommend her and her staff. Her bedside manner and surgical competence cannot be matched.

Dr McClellan is professional, caring, supportive. At my initial consult we had a lengthy discussion about what the best surgical option would be for me. She did not seem rushed, answered all my questions and gave me the information I needed to make this very important decision. The office staff was courteous and helpful. I especially appreciate knowing I will have their support after surgery. I have talked with other people that have had gastric bypass surgery and did not get much follow up or support. I think to be successful, I will need support. Being overweight has plenty of risks by itself so I was not so concerned about the surgical risks. I think any doctor needs surgical competence and a good bedside manner and I think I found it with Dr McClellan.

Dr McClellan was incredible! Supportive, honest and respectful. She let me know exactly what feelings I would be experiencing and what to expect before and after. Constantly following on my pain and comfort. I knew as soon as I met her that I trusted her and wanted her to do my surgery. She is truely a fantastic surgeon and person. She sets you at ease immediately. On a scale of 1-10 I would give her a 10!

I was really impressed with the fact that the dr. nor the nurses made you feel rushed at any apt. I went to. they were all very kind all the time. The only bad thing with that is then when you have an apt. they do not rush other patiance so you have to wait over an hour to see t he dr. ......will update when I have more news.rnrnI had the surgery and everything went well. would highly recommend this Surgeon to anyone.

How do I begin to describe the person who has changed my life for the absolute best? Dr. McClellan lights up a room with her smile and immediately puts her patients at ease. During our first consultation, Dr. McClellan listened, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood the process and expectations for undergoing RNY. All of the staff at the Bariatric Wellness Center in Vernon Hills, Illinois took wonderful care of me before, during, and after the surgery. Corrine, Abby, and Lorre couldn't have been more accommodating, positive, and encouraging. The aftercare program was very strong, with a support group meeting monthly. I highly recommend the staff at Bariatric Wellness Center and especially Dr. McClellan.
