Dr. Bosquez from the first time I met him I felt very comfortable with him. He is a very caring Dr. who takes his time with you and explains in detail ANY questions regarding the procedure and/or any pre or post op information. He came to see me in the hospital twice a day, he puts in some extremely long hours, Dr. Bosquez called me at home checking to see how I was doing. How many physicans have that bedside manner? I can say he is a very caring man, as well as very caring physician.
His office staff whom I've had direct contact Joy and Lori are absolutely the most helpful and caring. The entire process was streamlined and any assistance that I needed was given in an extemely expedient time frame. I feel they really care about the patient. I was having an extremely hard time relaxing and sleeping when I came home from the hospital, due to Lori's efforts during the snowstorm we were experiencing that day (phone service was out in alot of places) she was persistant in getting a prescription called into my pharmacy so I would be comfortable. I am eternally grateful to them, and will let them know when I go into for my two week follow-up.
Overall, I have to say that, yes, this was major surgery but Dr. Matt Bosquez has my highest respect regarding surgical competence and bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to have WLS. I honestly don't have one negative thing to say, it was a positive experience with both Dr. Bosquez and his staff.
My first impression was that Dr Bosquez was very caring. He took time to talk to me and answer all my questions. I have been very happy with the office staff. I didn't feel like just a number to them but an individual who needed individual attention.
He was very knowledgeable and very nice.
My impression of him has never changed; I recommend him to everyone that will listen. The office staff was great when I finally started getting my appointments scheduled correctly, HA HA! I can not name a single thing I dislike about Dr. Bosquez. If you are looking for a surgeon, he's the man! Not only does he do a wonderful job, but he comes into see you frequently. He doesn't rush off though, he talks with you and your family and explains everything every step of the way. He is very genuine! He has a very structured aftercare program. A wonderful pre-op program at the hospital which explains everything you have to do post-operatively. You have frequent post-op appointments to make sure you are adapting to your new you! He addressed the risks of surgery head on; there was no way that I was uninformed. Dr. Bosquez's surgical competence and bedside manner are the best anywhere!
What an AWESOME man. HE is caring, involved, knowledgable, and kind. I would recommend him to my closest friends and loved ones.
My husband and I liked Dr. Bosquez when we first met him in 2001, he did a partial thyroidectomy on me. He did such a good job that you can hardly see the scar.
When I was researching WLS I was very excited to find that he has now devoted his practice to WLS. In my opinion he is not only a skilled surgeon but a person that truly enjoys what he does and is a very caring person.
Dr. Bosquez is the most compassionate doctor I have seen in years. He is very caring and personal. I have gained respect and admiration for Dr. Bosquez the more dealings I have with him. He is very sincere. His office staff is AWESOME! They are also very compassionate and caring. There isn't anything that I don't like about Dr. Bosquez. He came very highly recommended to me from my PCP, Diabetic nurse, endocrinologist, and other hospital staff that he has worked with over the years. Everyone I have mentioned his name to think he is a great person. He is very proactive in aftercare. He attends EVERY support group meeting and has started a walking group on Saturday mornings and HE walks with us! He was very honest and open about the risks of surgery. He is a 10+ as far as overall rating and he has it all, surgical comepetence, excellent bedside manner, wonderful and helpful staff, and caompassion for the obese. All the above comments are strictly my personal opinion and experience with this doctor and staff.
I did have Dr. Gorospe as my surgeon but because of problems with my insurance I changed surgeons and now have Dr. Bosquez. I am VERY fortunate to have found out about Dr. B. and after my examination with him - I feel so much more comfortable. He goes out of his way and takes his time to reassure you. I have much confidence in him as a surgeon.
I liked Matt Bosquez the moment I met him, when I had a appendectomy 2 years ago. Just recently I found that he had moved from Warren Clinic to private bariatric surgery. I also like his wife. She is helpful and concerned and works in the ofice. They are a Christian family. I feel peaceful in their office. They seem to spread their appointments out appropriately. I would rate him very good overall. He was happy to answer my questions and seemed genuinely concerned about my welfare. I highly value surgical competence and bedside manner. He has 25 years surgical experience and has completed hundreds ( I think about 300 as of Sept 2002) of Roux-en- y surgeries. He was a partner with Dr. Gorospe before he went on his own and Dr. Gorospe is also a well know bariatric surgeion in the area, but seems a bit to busy for me.
I have my consultation with Dr. Bosquez on 11/21, 2002. I have spoken with office and am very impressed with them. They were very helpful and have answered any questions that I had and did not try to rush me off the phone. Will fill you in after my consultation Thursday.
