Dr. Adolf was very personable. He made me feel very much at ease.
Everyone I have met in connection with Dr. Adolf has been great.
I heard about him when I contacted the BTC
He was very throrough and was willing to answer my questions as well as my husband's. The whole procedure was outlined, using drawings, in a way that I could easily understand.
When I went for my pre-op tests, all aftercare was discussed. The risks were plainly talked about as well as the benefits again
Overall, I am very pleased with Dr.Adolph and with BTC. My surgery is nine days away.
The only negative aspect that I have encountered, is the very long wait at the center for my pre-op tests. I was there from 10:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Realize that I have not yet had my surgery.
Upon first meeting Dr. Adolph for my initial consultation, he came off as just going through the motions of the presentation. My impression of him became much better when he called the day before surgery to ask if I was ready to go. This was the point I began to truly believe in him. I knew he was always capable but he became personable to me at that point. Since my surgery I cannot say enough good things about him. He's the man! He stresses the importance of aftercare and meets the patient right where they're at; emotionally, physically, and spiritually. In my humble opinion I would want a doctor who is surgically competent and I would sacrifice bedside manner. In Dr. Adolph's case, I ended up not having to sacrifice either! Dr. Adolph and the staff at BTC Columbus know what they're doing. Thank God for these men and women and their desire to see people live their lives to the fullest!
Dr. Adolph looks very young, which may concern some patients-but he has the experience, he pays attiention to what you want, is very concerned for your health, and has a personality that puts you at ease. I called 3 times during the first week at home and he returned my call within 10 minutes ready to perscribe anything I needed. You can't get a better surgeon. The medical staff also seemed very fond of him and confident in his work. Now-for the office staff--if at first the form is not faxed--call,call, again! Nice ladies, but paper work is not their speciality. I think it is because of the number of people going through their office. Everyone is willing to help you--but not evryone knows where your file is. Be patient--but persistant in paper work.
My first impression of Dr. Adoph was very good. He was very informative and supportive. He also told me that he does 20 - 30 of these surgeries every month.
His office staff is very nice. The waiting room chairs are huge and the scale weighs up to 1000 pounds.
There wasn't anything I didn't like about him.
He is a very good doctor and he is really nice.
He emphasizes after care alot.
He does have a structured aftercare program. You get this huge binder with instructions for every part of you recovery. it has a week by week list of what you can and can't do and recipies for the food you can eat.
He addressed the risks of surgery in detail, and informed me that there is a risk of infection, hernia, having to redo the surgery and even death.
I liked him very much and i look forward to seeing him again
Both Surgical competence and Bedside manner are great.
Dr Adolph was very professional as wellas being caring for my problem of obesity. The office staff was friendly and helpful .He made it very clear to me that aftercare was extemely important to my health .He explained in great detail the aftercareI would need. He did address the risks of surgery and was very honest about everything.Overall I would rate him between a 8 and a 10 .I feel confident in him preforming my surgery.
In my opinion, my first impression of my surgeon, Dr. Michael Adolph, was that he was very young- and is! I first thought that since he was a younger surgeon he didn't have much experience with bariatric patients. I was wrong. He explained that he has done over 350 gastric bypass surgeries and that made me feel much better. His office staff has been very friendly and courteous to me. There isn't anything I do not like about my surgeon. I believe future patients should trust my surgeon- they are in good hands. He can and will answer all questions you may have- just ask! Aftercare is extremely important- one must follow the guidelines of the program, afterall, my surgeon doesn't want his work to fail and I sure don't want to fail my surgeon!
Yes, the Bariatric Treatment Center has a very structured aftercare program that is neatly designed in a three-ringed binder and is highly organized!
My surgeon addressed the risks of surgery right upfront at the consultation appt. He answered all my questions.
I would rate my surgeon excellent and recommend him to anyone. :)
He has great surgical competence and bedside manners- he seems to enjoy his profession!
