<p align="left">When I met Dr. Wiltse, I was very surprised how personable he was. He made me feel very welcome. Infact, he made me feel as though he was talking to me, and not at me. That has to be an important factor for me. He seemed to be very excited about practicing w/the BTC now. From what I gathered, he made me feel that it was nice to have patients that wanted to have surgery to better themselves instead of having to do surgery on people who couldn't care less. One of the questions that I asked him, was if he was getting something out of doing WLS, because I don't know if I really wanted someone who was doing this for a quick $$. I was very suprised at his reaction. He perked up and smiled. You could tell that he is really enjoying his work. I know that seems to make me feel better. -------
I suppose the best way I can explain how things went, is by comparing going shopping w/a consultation. (What an analogy) You know when you go shopping, & you have someone helping you that loves what they are doing and someone that is only there to go thru the motions. The person who loves what they do, usually gives you the better service. The one that's there to make a quick dollar, usually doesn't really care about you. They're just waiting for the hours to pass. Well, to sum all this up, I felt that Dr. Wiltse was loving what he's doing. -------
His office Staff: Very pleasant ------
I'm unable to have anything negative to say just yet. I'm still in the early stages of questioning and care. As soon as I know more, I will update.

My husband and I met with Dr. Wiltse on 1/6/03, we were very impressed, he did not rush us and took the time to answer any questions that we had. The BTC is the place I feel the most comfortable having this done. I had previously went to a consultation with a different doctor at the end of last year and my husband was not even allowed to stay in the office because the waiting area was so small there was not any room for him....At BTC we were very comfortable. The office staff was very nice and helpful...Dr. Wiltse described all of the risk of the surgery. I cannot wait, the insurance has the letter now and I am now waiting for approval. I have United Healthcare POS and know that they normally approve this surgery, several people at my job have had this done and they had no problem with United Healthcare. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they approve.

I met with Dr. Capps on Sept. 24th, he seemed
to be very straight forward and knowledgeable. I have since done an extensive
background and creditialing check, and found
that he is probably one of the very best surgeons around. Other than learning about the basics of the surgery and questions that I got to ask in the consultation, I really haven't gotten to know him very well, but I feel like I will be in very good hands!
....I have been approved for this surgery by
my insurance, but have not yet gotten a surgery date, when I call, I just hear that
"the file is on his desk for review", His assistant is not the friendliest and is very
short on the phone.
Now Dr. Wiltse is my surgeon, because Dr. Capps was called to active duty w/ the Army.
I went for pre-op yesterday and did get to meet and visit w/ Dr. wiltse in between his surgeries. I had completed my research on him prior to meeting him. He was very nice, and very informative and I felt very comfortable with him. By the way, Dr. Capps
assistant is no longer with the company because of her poor performance and attitude. This came straight from the President of BTC himself.

When I met with Dr. Wiltse, he had just come to Bariatric Treatment Centers. My first impression was OK. I don't mean that to be negative, but I just met with him briefly on my first visit to BTC, Texas, and I look forward to meeting him again. I think I'll have more to say AFTER my experience is over. There was good emphasis on the Aftercare Program. Please note that I am writing this info after going through over a year of dealing with AETNA and their appeals process and through the State of Texas Department of Insurance. My entire perspective is still VERY NEGATIVELY colored by the EXTREMELY DIFFICULY AND NEGEATIVE EXPERIENCE WITH AETNA! I'm going to write more later.
