When I first met Dr. Cacchione he seemed nice enough. Very quite doctor and very slow is what I use to describe him, meaning he is not in a hurry to rush you out of his office. I still think that he is a great doctor so far, I have not had my surgery yet but am undergoing it on July 22, 2005, so all say a pray for me. But if I had to choose the man to do it, I highly recommend him just because of how I felt about him. He seems to be very pre-cautious. The thing is he is no longer himself doing these surgeries, he is finishing his former patients and that is it. Although there is a doctor in the same office with him that does it. Anyways, I pray that all goes well and he is as good as I think that he is.

Dr. Cacchione Was very Thoughtful and Helpful.. He answered any questions I had.. and took the time to answer them.

He seemed very intelligent, knowledgeable about the surgery.

I only grew to respect him more and I think very highly of him.

Not overly friendly, but cordial.

I have yet to find anything I don't like about my doctor.

That he is a great surgeon.

The aftercare was very lenient.

I did not have a problem at all with the aftercare.

He explained the risks but also made me feel very at ease.

On a scale of one to ten he definitely gets a ten from me.

Surgical competence was top notch. He has a quiet personality but at the same time very easy to talk to.

1st impression of Dr C. was a very gentle, caring man/doctor and my impression is still the same with him today.
Dr C's office staff is very friendly, helpful, kind and curtious, but VERY overworked and understaffed.
What I like least about Dr C is that he no longer is performing WLS, but does still see existing patients.
Aftercare is very important to Dr C and his staff.
Yes, Dr C certainly did emphasize and address the risks of my surgery and we decided together which surgery would be best for me.
Dr C will always remain a 10 plus to me, as I think he is GREAT.
The only thing I do regret is the fact the hospital did not weigh me or measure me the morning of my surgery :-( Had I known, I would have done it myself......and yes, would have taken pictures, too.

I met with Dr. Cacchione today for the first time. I really liked him. He's very professional but at the same time hs like visiting a neighbor, down to earth and makes you feel comfortable. I go on the 19th of May for an endoscopy. Hopefully things will get done quickly after that.

Dr. Cacchione is very approachable. He is very knowledgeable about the pros and cons of the surgeries available. He doesn't "sugar-coat" them. He is very clear about the risks. However, I feel the long-term risks of maintaining my current weight is more risky. He is supportive of my decision.

Dr. C answered all of my questions and spent a lot of time educating me. I attended to Right Track Program and thought it was THE BEST!!

March 3, 2003 - I met with Dr. Cacchione today and have a very good feeling about him. He was polite and very curtious to me and my husband. He addressed all of my concerns and explained the procedure throughly. I would rate him a 8 overall. After surgery I hope I can rate him 10.

May 12, 2003 - Had surgery on May 9 and for surgical competence Dr. Cacchione gets a 10. I am in no pain, just sore. The only problem I have is no set guidelines on how much to eat. He just said eat slowing and decided you large your pouch is. I guest as long as I loose, it is worth the trade off for a wonderful surgeon.

I first Met Dr. Cacchione on March 6th for my initial consultation, then again on April 14th. He is a highly intelligent and very caring surgeon. I felt very much at ease. He took the extra time to discuss the different types of wls to choose from and then told me which one he would reccommend and why. He told me of the risks involved in great detail. I totally trust him to do my surgery on May 29th, 2003.

I would definately reccommend him to others in the Louisville area looking for a positive change in their life.

I met with Dr. Robert Cacchione of the Louisville Surgical Associates. He was alright. He did a perfuntory exam. Had me breathe a couple of times then pressed around on my abdomen and that was it. His staff was alright. They weren't overly friendly, but they weren't rude either.

Well, I'm now post op!! All I can say is my surgeon Dr C is a man that knows his stuff. He specializes in laparoscopic surgery and that's how he did my rny.
I came through with flying colors. It hardly seems like I even had major abdominal surgery. I hardly have any pain at all.
Thanks Dr. Cacchione for giving me a new chance at life.

WELL, my opinion of Dr. C has changed. The problem is, I can eat too much, because he made my pouch 100 cc vs 30 cc of other drs. I still have to struggle not to eat. For as much money as this surgery costs, I should not have to struggle. My stomach is supposed to be my guide to stop eating. I've talked to him about making it smaller, but he won't do it as long as you are losing.
Had I known this before hand, I would not have used him.

MAY 2, 2003 Dr C is going to remove my gallbladder and make my stomach smaller (50cc). I only lost 30 lbs in 6 months.
I think he's doing the smaller stomach the first time now.
