My first impression of Dr. Cox was he seems to be a very caring & loving soul. He is a man that knows what he is doing, & loves what he does. I have met the people in his staff, & I have to say they are just as wonderful as he is. His wife Deb, who is the surgical nurse & teaches most of the classes, is amazing. She is a very upfront & honest person, who loves what she does, however she will not take your chit. its either her way, or see ya...& trust me, you would not want to change that about her, your health & safty are #1 to her, & she is very good at it. Carey, he is the one who deals with the Ins Comp, all the doctors you will have to see, he keeps it all together, he will be the one calling you when things need to be done, & you could always call him if needed, he will help you all the way. he works very hard for all of us. so don't give him a hard time please. he is a sweetheart. & the rest of the staff are just as great.
You will have to do your part aswell, this is not a quick fix. If this is what you really want to do then give it 110% & do what they say.

After meeting Dr. Samuel Cox and his wife, I know I'll be in good hands, they take every precaution to make sure you do good through the surgery, and after the surgery. So I can't wait to have the surgery, and I've met other surgeons that just ated like they didn't care, but this one does. You have to go to an Education Semiar and nuturial consultation, and they go every question you could possibly have. I would recommend Dr.Cox to anyone that needs a surgeon.

Met with Dr. Samuel Cox for pre-op. I feel very confident with him ans his staff in preforming the surgery

Had my one week check up, have lost 20 1/2 pounds, Dr. Cox was very proud of me and I too of him, he done a great job and removed an old c-section scar. He is a great surgeon.

Dr. Cox and his wife/surgical registered nurse is a perfect combination. They compliment each other. He is this calm gentle intellectual man and she is this fiesty intellectual woman. They balance each other. He received is MD in 1962. He has practice in Alberta, Canada as well as the United States and his profession is General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery and Laporatic* Surgery. So he has over 35 years of being a medical doctor and surgeon. His wife is the bariactic cordinator for one of the hospitals that he is affiliated with. She is straight forward about the procedure. Their program gives you the pro's and the con's about the surgery. They have created a manual and take the time to explain all that you need to know about the procedure. They are not afraid to answer any questions or concerns. One thing that I like about their program/surgery procedure is that they take all the necessary precautions to make the surgery a successful surgery to make the possibility of death at its minimal. Their staff is very organized. Their secretary Carrie is awsome. He knows his stuff. I started this journey on December 2, 2004 and I will be having the surgery January 31, 2005. They tell you what you need to do. Get everything that they ask of you and your process will hopefully go smoothly depending on the outside people that you have to deal with. But as far as for them, they give you everything that you need to do so that the possibility of approval is very high which makes it successful. This is a team effort on the doctor/office staff as well as the patient and they are truly your new family. I havent had the surgery yet to address the bedside manners but I am sure that it is going to be exactly what I am experiencing now with them. Caring, competent compasionate people that care about the long term care and health of their paitents.

HE WAS A VERY QUIET MAN.AFTER YOU TALK TO HIM AND HIS WIFE YOU FEEL THAT HE IS THE SURGEON THAT YOU WANT.HIS OFFICE STAFF IS THE BEST.CARRIE IS A REAL NICE PERSON THAT HELPS YOU ALOT WITH WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO.I RATE DR.COX AND HIS WIFE,AND STAFF 100%

I just couldnt beleive it, we need more Dr's like Dr Cox And Debra He's wondeful wife so caring both of them, and when you become their patient you become part of their family & their team and i always look forward for my apts just to vist and chat and see them, My opertion went well had a little problem in my breathing but they help me in all the ways and more to get better, And their staff is so great everyone needs to meet carrie, He does a wondrful job in trying to get the insurance to go thou for you he does he does a awonderful job for you and lets you know what he needs up front to help him do hes job... I dont like anything less about none of the staff are dr's .In other words i cant waite to go to the siminars TO SEE THEM AND CHAT TO THEM ALL, After care Dr cox is right their when needed, after the opertion around the 9 day i was home and need to talk to dr. cox and it was after hours and i called and he called me back at home and i was so glad , i have never in my life time have and Dr. call me back after he had went home for the day and im 48 years old, Yes they have siminar metings once a month to keep in touch and to explain to new comers and answer so of their questions if need to.they explain it very very well about the risk in it all rate them 100% in it all beleive me i could dont beleive how well they werein and well job done...

I AM JUST BEGINNING MY QUEST FOR WLS. I HAVE NOT MEET ANYONE IN PERSON FROM HIS STAFF AS OF YET. BUT I HAVE TALKED TO CAREY. AND HE APPEARS TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND INFORMATIVE ABOUT THE DIFFERENT SPECIALIST THAT YOU HAVE TO MAKE APPTS. WITH.

So far I have attended one info. session in which Dr. Cox spoke. He has very good bedside manor and his staf are extraordinary. His wife and head nursing staff during his operations is very knowledgeable and profressional. I have nothing but respect and total trust in this team! I can't wait for my turn at the table!

I finally met Dr. Cox and his wife Deborah. He is a caring, giving man and Deborah rocks! She really knows her stuff and is very strict, which I like about her!!! They have a comprehensive program. I was very impressed with all of their safegards. I am confident that I have made the right decision, and I am now part of a winning team!

I had my preop consult with Dr. Cox. He's so down-to-earth!!! His staff is super caring and sensitive. Lisa put me at ease, even during the measuring. He answered all of my questions. Dr. Cox is truely a blessing from God.

My first impression of him was that he was very gentle and kind...He seemed to care very much about how his patients were pre-op and post-op both...He answered everyone's questions completely and fully...He was also very patient in his answers and wanted to make sure you understood his answers...His staff has got to be the best and competent people in the world that will go to bat for you and make sure you do what you need to be totally healthy...They went over everything until we all understood it...He emphasizes after care very hard because he knows it is important to our success...He addressed everything about the surgery in great care so that you knew exactly what was happening now and what would happen from now until the rest of our life...I rate him at 100 % overall because he is exactly what I was looking for...A wonderful caring doctor that would also teach me well and make sure I did it...He is wonderful all around and I have no complaints about him in any form...He is wonderful!!! He is kind quiet is about the only negative thing..But I kind of liked it.

i have not yet met him yet but i have talked to carrie which is in his office and he is great he is sending me all the paper work to get started and we will go from there i can't what to get on the losing side like so much of you.. when i meet him i will update more thanks everyonehe is great and i love him to death he is great and i couldn't have asked for a better dr.. if i have problems he will call me long distance to check on me and see how i am he will not the nurse and that makes a difference when he calls to see how you are and how your care is doing i thank him so much and couldn't have asked for better
