Dr.Shayani I love u!!! He is the sweetes most comfortable man to be around! He is by far a 10 I love this man!

I was referred to Dr. Shayani by a friend at work who had the lap band surgery about a year or so ago. I have only met with him once thus far but he was very patient with answering all our questions (and between me and my boyfriend, believe me, we had a lot!). He seems to be very accessible as he stated to just email with any questions. I haven't had to do so but read other testimonies where he has responded promptly and by phone.

DR.Shayani is the best he has very good bed side manners Is resident Dr.Hanna was very nice. The staff at Loyola is very nice. Do not have a complaint at all. I raate Dr. Shayani and staff a 10.rn

the doctor was very pleasant and made me feel very at ease. he had 2 medical asst. with him and they answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable putting myself in his care. there was no pressure - he explained the proceedure and left it up to me if i was ready to start the tests. he let me know this is serious, if i don't work at it i won't suceed.

Very exact,straight to the point,informative.Answered any and all questions with patience.

He addresses risks of surgery in his mandatory seminar, post surgery, and it is a VERY good place to get your questions answered by doctor and patients.

I have immense respect for him as a surgeon.

I would have liked to see a friendlier disposition from him at first appointment.Also it is frustrating trying to get return phone calls when messages are left.(This has gotten better)

Dr. Shayani is a godsend. He is very straight forward and shoots from the hip. It was refreshing to come accross a doctor who isn't just trying to boost his patient numbers. He really cares about the patients and makes sure that you are sure that the surgery is the correct option for you. I can't wait till I'm on the losing side.

Dr. Shayani is an excellent doctor. He always take the time out to answer question. He does communicate with your other doctors before making a decision. Overall I would rate Dr. Shayani's bedside manner and surgical competence a 10. I have no complaint with him or his staff.

First of all I would like to say I am very blessed to have had one on the best surgeons in the city .He rated in the top 5 surgeons in this area to do the lapband .My first and lasting impression of him is that he is a very caring and concerned person.He cares about his patients and wants only the best for them.The staff is very professional.Everyone does their job an does it well.I have had nothing but a beautiful encounter from my first day making an appointment.Future patients should go into to this knowing that they will be taken care of .That they have one of the best and with the best everything is right.There is a very structured aftercare program .Dealing with the follow-up appointments with Dr. Shayani to the follow-up appointments with the nutritionist.Upon your first visit everything can move as fast as you want it.I went to his office for the first time on June 1 and was finished and in surgery on September 20,which could have been a month earlier but I missed two appointments.Dr Shayani office handles everything and getting an approval is easy when you deal with the pros.

Dr.Shayani is a very patient man. He took his time with me answered all my questions about the surgery and the testing. I did not feel rushed or like "just another # to him" He gave me his e-mail address and told me I could contact him any time I needed to until all the test results were in. The office staff seemed helpful and friendly they helped me set up my tests some for the same day I was there. He told me the recovery period would be about 1 week. He went over the risks of surgey. As this is a major surgey. What I liked least about Dr.Shayani was that he was consered that I was divorced and not sure how the surgery would affect me... I have been seperated 3 years and Divorced 1 1/2 years... Also I have lost alot of weight on my own and doing a major surgery for 70-100 pounds... he felt what if he does the surgery and takes away my only way to "cope" He is the surgeon he must have his reasons for feeling this way but he scared me when he said "IF" you pass the PSYCH clearnce well ok...and he gave me the green light to begin testing... I would rate him a 10 on a scale of 1-10 He did not hide anything from me. He is up front and honest. He takes his time with you. Overall so far where I am at in this process I would highly recommend him and his staff.
