Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center (COE) Hospital

It was overall good. I shared a room with a woman who was constanly on the phone with the TV up so loud the nurses asked her to turn it down. It made it hard to try to rest between walking.

I loved how the "pods" were layed out. Easy to reach patients within seconds. I cannot say enough good things about the hospital and staff.

Is a awesome hospital all the way around.

I was very happy with the staff, other than one nurse during that day that was rude, but I think that's just the way she is.

Staff ran the gamut from outstanding, to barely ever there. Using new "bari-beds" fro bariatric patients that are combination stretcher, bed, and even wheel cahir. Not the most comfortable bed in the world, but it sure made getting up eaasier with a little assist from the bed

Still has a way to go to accomadate bariatric pt. Bari bed uncomfortable and staff did not know how to use it. Dietary dept very poor in miminal diet needs. Ex. it took over 9 hrs and many requests by nursing to get a bottle of water after MD ordered liquid. When 1 oz of food was ordered it was not on the lunch or dinner tray and in order to be dcd I had to tolerate a "meal". It finally came at 9pm! Many of the nursing staff were wonderful and I commend them on their hard work from pre-op to discharge.

This hospital's staff where caring and polite. The only problem I had was the first evening after my surgery when the pain meds made me nauses and the nurse on duty at the time didn't think it was anything to worry about.

The nursing staff did vary from shift to shift. Some were kinder then others.

I am very familiar with Banner Good Samaritan and recommend them to anyone. I have had previous surgeries at Good Sam and also my children were born here. I haven't had any negative issues.

i've worked in many hospitals and this is the best. i'd work there now except i only do pediatrics and we moved to a new hospital.
