Dr. Spector and the entire team at the Brigham and Women's Hospital Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery have thoroughly impressed me with their knowledge and dedication to their patients. Dr. Spector is a wonderful doctor who is easy to talk to and who is there for his patients when they need him. I am so glad that my PCP recommended Dr. Spector for my VSG surgery. I am lucky enough to have worked with him and the rest of the BWH/CMBS team. Dr. Spector helped me feel comfortable going into surgery and he is very down to earth and funny. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon!

Truly one of the best in the field. I found this doctor to be very humble. And was able to explain every aspect of my up-and-coming surgery. In fact today I met a young medical student at my doctor's office at Brigham's and women's when I told that it was Dr SHiKORA she stated you got the best I'd watch him in surgery. I'm truly thankful to him and his team

a truly comprehensive program for bariatric surgery - no area is left to chance and the pre-op support and preparation and post-op follow up support is excellent - all providers - surgeons, dieticians, nurses, pas, specialists - are first-rate. Brigham and Womens is a Mecca for innovative medical treatment and the bariatric program is top notch. I was well-prepared for surgery and well-taken care of despite having, according to my surgeon, the highest BMI he'd ever worked with. Now I'm a bit more than a year post-op and have lost more than 50% of my excess weight (over 200lbs gone). This surgery has been a remarkable tool for me to use - no regrets, no complaints, just much gratitude.

Dr. Spector and his staff are truly amazing. From the information session I attended to the POWL meetings, Dr. Davidson, Alicja, the dietitians, everyone made me feel beyond comfortable, absolutely sure that weight loss surgery was the right choice for me, and empowered by my choice. Throughout the process up to, during, and after the surgery, the entire staff continues to strive to help me be the most successful me I can be. When I have a question or concern, I know it will be answered or addressed immediately. I have come to look forward to my visits to the office - it's like catching up with old friends, and everyone continues to cheer me on, help me, and applaud my success. I know I'm the one doing the work, but I couldn't do it without all of the extra support from the team. I would recommend Dr. Spector to anyone thinking of having weight loss surgery. He is kind, caring, compassionate, so easy to talk to, and he gives amazing advice. He also has these wonderful speeches he gives his patients, and the messages go so much further than he may even realize. Everyone on this team is just top-notch. Patients everywhere would be lucky to receive half the level of care I have received and continue to receive from BWH and Faulkner hospital!

I feel so lucky to live so close to such an amazing team. Dr. Robinson made me feel so confident in this decision and how much support I will get. They are always there for me and I have never felt alone. They really made a nice little community for us. You can't go wrong with this group.

Dr. Tavakkoli changed my life! I am so happy I decided to have Gastric Sleeve Surgery 9 months ago (April 2015). I have lost 70lbs and have been supported by him, PA, Dieticians, and Dr. Davidson along the way. He was always great at explaining my options, and making sure I was confident in my decision to choose sleeve over the other options. He has great bedside manners and follow up approaches. He was always on time for my appointments as well! The entire staff is always ready to help! BWH was an excellent choice for this procedure and I am grateful all this team has done for me!

Dr. Ali Tavakkoli and the staff at BWH are incredible. I have worked with multiple doctors and nurses over the years and have had personalized treatment and care. My life has changed dramatically in 10 months since having gastric sleeve surgery with Dr.T and I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend the BWH Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and Dr. Tavakkoli!

Dr. Ashley Vernon and the entire Bariatric team at Brigham & Women's Hospitial are professional, kind, courteous and always willing to give the help and support I needed for the preparation leading up to surgery, during my hospital stay and the continuous after care I receive has been tremendous. They have a fantastic program that you get Nutritional support for life at no charge! All the Nutritionist are awesome and don't make you feel bad in any way if you are struggling. They just help to get you back on track! Dr. Vernon has been very supportive from the beginning. She took the time to explain the procedure, and took the time out to answer all my questions She is an excellent surgeon (I had no complications at all!) and she just really cares about each patient as a person which makes all the difference when dealing with doctors. I recommend her without reservation! I started at 330 and now I'm 255 and I'm 6 months post op... I have more to go, but I know I'm going to do it. Having this surgery with Dr. Vernon was the best decision I ever made!! Don't wait another minute. My only regret is I wish I did it sooner!

I met Dr. Vernon back in June 2014, by a fluke!!!! I initially had an appt with Dr. Brooks and we consulted but did not go well, so he sent in Dr Vernon...I was very upset after talking with the other surgeon and he walked out of the room, sitting there crying in come Dr Vernon. She was the most compassionate person I have ever met. She went thru all the different procedures that would help me for the symptoms I had. She very clear, precise, and to the point. I had questions and she answered them on a level that I understood. I had my surgery on February 6, 2015 and wouldn't ask for a better surgeon. She came in the day after my surgery on a Saturday in a blizzard to see me. I am a totally different person and have a new outlook on life. She is the best!!!!! AWESOME person with a great heart!!!!
