This certainly did not seem like a hospital, but rather a very small town clinic. The nursing ratio was terrible and they were not in any way willing to be of assistance to bariatric patients. I hope that I never have to be a patient in that hospital.

I would reccomend this hospital to anyone. As stated above, it is small and somewhat older...but, the care received was as good as any other hospital I've been.

I feel the hospital is great. There was an aide named Candy she was sooo sweet and helped in any way she could.

My only complaints, 91) there is a overnight CNA who I think maybe needs a wee more traing, when she got me up for my first walk she took off and i was was like hold up something doesn't feel right. She turns around and says "Oh I forgot to unhook your catheter from the bed! Oh I sthat all,I have news had it come out, it would have staye dout noway would they have put it back in! I have heard rumous of other horror stories so beware.
(2) I was totally shocked at thisone, I now they haveto come in and take vitals and etc all thetime which is disturbing, but I understand. BUT CELL PHONES, going off in the middle of the night and all day, not nurses phones, other patients phones. nerve wracking and rude,
(3) I was shocked because I have never seen this done before, but when your discharged you have to stop by and pay your balance before you leave. I know why they do and I didn't have abalance the nsurance paid for it all, but having a checkbook would be the furthest thing from my mind.

I really liked Crossroads. It is a smaller hospital and has a lot of equipment that is especially needed by bariatric patients. Also, my WLS support group is located at the hospital so it was convenient to drop in on the group the day after surgery.

the hospital admitting process was fast, easy, and friendly; the lab people were nice and didn't hurt me at all.. the hospital was clean-VERY--; there were nice waiting areas, cafeteria for family and doctors came in to see me everyday- I did not see dr de la Torre after surgery. BUT a resident studying with him seen me every am.. i felt in very good hands..
