Crossroads Regional Hospital Hospital

It was a nicely-kept facility. Fairly new, clean, bright. Terrible cafeteria food - per family. Admitting process was smooth and undeventful. Pre-Op nurses were wonderful... kept mind of surgery. Very light-hearted. EXCELLENT anesthesiologist - Dr. Cooper. Just a delight.. checked up on me TWICE after surgery - has anyone ever heard of that before? There were a bunch of women on that floor that I had NO idea what they did - but had sour pusses and acted like the patients were a pain. (ignore us mostly) My primary nurses - Joy (am)and Melissa (pm) were great. Very responsive and helpful. I thgink Melissa would be a good frined if we lived closer... she is just delighful) Anyway - would definatley say the staff there is MIXED in helpfulness and mood.I had a bed designed for bariatric patients - so it was pretty cool. But other WLS patients had traction-type beds and they said they wished they had my bed. Also, I think they only have one "nurse" on each shift... rest are aides/ I think that's what lends itself to the poorer "overall" quality of staffing. (Also, the a/c was out while I was there and, altho I kept comfy with a big fan, it was uncomfortable.)
