Forsyth Medical Center Hospital

I was in a step down room from ICU and I think it had a visiting hour guidelines but my friends and my family came whenever possible and the nurses were very kind and didnt get rude or anything. Also I wanna say the nurses on the 5th floor and the 7th floor were the best anyone could ever have. Especially April at 5th floor she came on weekends and around 7 pm. she was very good.

Forsyth hospital is a good hospital. For the most part, all the Nurses and staff treated me with compassion. I had one bad experience there. When I had to go to Radiology to make sure I did not have a leak in my new pouch, all the staff there talked down to me, didn't treat me with compassion and seemed rough with me while they were moving me and adjusting me on the X-ray table. I started hurting so bad I was in tears. The Radiologist asked what's wrong (with an attitude) and I told him I felt he was being rough, he basically blew it off and told me I was almost finished. By the time I was ready to go back to my room, I was so upset and crying that I started hyperventalating. A nurse noticed and IMMEDIATELY had me taken back to my room where my Physican was called and HE took care of the situation with the Radioloist. My nurse noticed I was so upset that she made sure my husband was notified so he could get to the hospital. This might be something petty, but to me, I feel a patient at a medical facility should be treated w/ compassion. No matter what condition your there for, you should always be treated with respect and I feel this Radiologist and his team did not treat me in a proper way. Everyone has a bad day, but I feel this was something that could have been avoided and was un-necessary. The only other complaint I have is that the hospital does not have enough parking. The parking lot is very small. It does not accomidate the large patient population the hospital has. The hospital is growing and so should the patient/visitor parking.
