I have always been treated well at GRMC. They are always looking to improve their ways of doing things, and are currently updating their ways of handling obese patients with better beds, etc.

It has a small town atmosphere which was very nice. It made me feel comfortable being there!

over priced and will not respond to your phone calls about the bills.

All of the nurses I had were excellent. Only thing I didn't like was the one nurse that made me start getting up by myself instead of HELPING me up all the time :)

This hosp. used to not have a great reputation. My family and friends had previously had to deal with this hosp. It used to be old and dirty with very bad help.

But....

The hosp. is now clean and has been redone. The Dr.s and Nurses are great and really knew thier business with wls. I'm sure it helped that Dr. Coster's office is on the hosp. grounds. And Dr. Coster has a god like rep. with wls.
I have no complaints about this hosp. other than my pain med machine broke down and the nurses had to administer it themselves.

It was a wonderful hospital with a great staff. They took great care of me both during my RNY stay and later when I had complications and was readmitted. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I cannot say enough about the staff, very supportive and caring people.Only one thing: they made popcorn at midnight one evening(I was to go home the next day, so was feeling good)and couldn't sleep!lol They were great anyway!!

I seemed to be paired with roommates from hell both times I was there (WLS and panni) and I had concerns sometimes about the food they put on my tray. I still have dumping and was afraid of getting food with sugar sometimes. Other than that, I have been extremely well cared for there.

Grinnell Regional is great. I was somewhat nervous at first, because it is a smaller town. All the staff that worked with me were excellent. I can't say enough about how well I was treated. I would recommend anyone to go there and have this surgery preformed.
