Hospital of Saint Raphael (COE) Hospital

I had surgery on 9/27/11, I had a one day procedure and was supposed to have the option to stay in the hospital if I was having a difficult time post surgery. I felt rushed out, the recovery room nurse was not responsive to my pain or feelings. I felt so prepared before surgery and was let down by the hospital.

I felt the nurses I had were outstanding. The beds were uncomfortable and it was highly noisy. Worst "rest" and "healing" situation I've ever been in.

Excellent hospital.

My experience was completely positive prior to, during and after my surgery.

I was very pleased with the care from the nurses and staff. They were very helpful and respectful of my privacy.

I only had one problem. While I was being wheeled back from my upper gi the retard that was pushing me showed no respect for anyone. The entire time he was commenting under his breath but loud enough that I could hear him. I later found out that this position in the hospital was on a volunteer basis, I am sure this young individual had some community service that he had to do because he was so disrespectful, also turning fast on the corners and going over the "speed bumps" at a faster pace. What comes around goes around and he'll get his because I putin a complaint before I left the hospital.

There were a few nurses that excelled but the only negative thing I can say is that it is supposed to be a bariactric fllor and they ahd little gowns. They tried to give me 2 small ones but I insisted they find a large one and they did.

I had a very good care. All the help was great. Don't know about because I was not there for that.
I would go back again if needed.

The nurses, techs, PA's were all very attentative to my needs. They were always there when i needed something and were even there when i needed nothing.

I had one really good nurse and she was the 3rd shift nurse. She was very attentive and answered any questions that I had. The rest of the nurses never once asked if I wanted to walk or even came in to just check up on me. I was often left for hours without a someone stopping in.
