Memorial Hospital (COE) Hospital

This was my first hospital stay EVER and I can say that I had such a wonderful experience. My mother and husband were there for me the whole time and even they were very comfortable and impressed with the room and the staff. My nurses were extremely attentive. Anything we needed, we just called them directly (they keep cordless phones on them at all times) and they were right there for me.
Everything was so clean and well kept up and my mom even really enjoyed the cafeteria and said the food was great and the choices were outstanding. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone in the Jacksonville area.

Everything was really good EXCEPT THE RECOVERY ROOM - it was a horrible nightmare - they left me in there for 6 plus hours in wretching pain and I pleaded to see my husband - he was stuck in the waiting room for over 8 hours. I guess they said they were waiting for a room to open up - it was the worst experience of my life. Then on the last day some jerk came up giving me pressure to leave and offered me cab fare! It was 10:30am and I was waiting for my husbands break to pick me up - he added pressure I didn't need- especially since I had just written out a $9650.00 check and paid cash for everything. The nursing staff were WONDERFUL - but those two items significantly overshadow the experience.
