Mills-Peninsula (COE) Hospital

The whole stay was great. The parking was poor as they are renovating the site. They are in the process of building a new parking structure, which my nurse told me will have the new hospital on top of it. The current hospital isn't up to present day earthquake standards and I guess it would cost too much to retrofit it, if they could. The new hospital is supposed to be open sometime in 2010. The old one is gorgeous, I am anxious to see what the new one will look like.

Most staff was really good, however they were a few nurses that had no clue about pain meds, or my gastric bypass surgery. For example on day one I had a non bariatric nurse that didn't want to give me my pain pump meds as I needed it. The hospital got her off the floor the next day as she was not a bariatric nurse. Also a couple of nurses had now idea how to work the bariatric bed that I had. The head nurse and bariatric coordinator were great and fixed any issued I had.
