I felt very comfortable in this hospital and felt the care was caring and technically skilled. I also recommend this hospital for LGBT folks, the care was definitely sexual minority friendly.

It was my experience that this hopital has the most professional staff at every level that I have ever experienced. If I should ever need to be hospitalized again I hope that I am able to go to Pennsylvania Hospital.

I havent had my surgrey as of yet, but my good friend and my partner have both had it, and they both have had VERY VERY poor stays!!!.....The nurses are terrible and act as though you are bothering them when you ask for something, they NEVER EVER answer the call when you hit the "nurse" button. They LACK what it takes to be a REAL nurse!!

The only problem with this hospital is the bed that they use for obese patients. The bed has good features but needs work.

MOST OF THE STAFF WERE GREAT, OF COURSE, THERE WERE A COUPLE OF PEOPLE THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE CARE FOR MY DOG BUT I NEVER FELT MY CARE WAS COMPRIMISED. I FELT SAFE AND IN GOOD HANDS. MY ONLY REAL COMPLAINT WAS THE NOISE LEVEL AT NIGHT. I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES ARE SO LOUD AT NIGHT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL.

PENNSYLVANIA HOSPITAL SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SERVICE GASTRIC BYPASS PATIENTS. THE STAFF IS A DISASTER IF YOUR STAY IS MORE THAN 2 DAYS. I HAD TO ASK FOR A PATIENT'S ADVOCATE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LACK OF CARE GIVEN BY THE HOSPITAL STAFF. THEY STAFF IS SULLEN, DISRESPECTFUL, UNRESPONSIVE, UNCARING AND DOWNRIGHT RUDE AT TIMES. IT WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING DISPLAY OF LACK OF CONCERN ABOUT PATIENTS THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE TO EXPERIENCE. THE DIETICIAN WAS NO BETTER, SHE ALMOST COULD NOT BE BOTHERED. IT'S THE WORST HOSPITAL STAY I HAVE EVER HAD.

I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. The nurses were slow. One even left me in my own vomit for 15 minutes. That was the topper. Then a nurse and a doctor were outside my room getting ready to fight. The arguing woke me up out of my sleep at 3:00a.m in the morning. There was one nurse there who really helped me. i was in the hospital 5 days. she couldn't be there everyday. The only reason I would ever step foot in that hospital again is if Dr. Kirkland had to revise something. Other than that if i fell right in front of the hospital and as bleeding everywhere I would want my husband to pick me up and take me to another hospital. The last thing is it wasn't very clean. I could go on, but I think you get my point.

I felt comfortable that if anything serious happened to me I would be well taken care of which is most important, however, the nurses were too busy to come when you needed them and almost all of them had a bad attitude and made you feel like you were being a burden. At least that is my experience. Like I mentioned, it could have been cleaned better then it was, expecially the bathroom.

I would not suggest that anyone go to this hospital. It is the worse hospital in Pennsylvania.
