Rancocas Valley Hospital Hospital

The higher the floor, the better quality of care and equipment. The sicker you are the better care you get. Beds on 5th floor were excellent, beds on 1st flor didn't work, were old, walls were dented, needed painting. Beautiful artwork on 5th floor walls, pretty curtains. everything in between was the same, the higher the floor, the better it was. it progressively got sloppier as you go down.

Icu was great. I was moved at 2:00 am to the the 2nd floor it was bad. My neighbor was a 99 old who decided to take her IV and cather out. So they had to restrain her. She moaned loudly all night. In a distance a women was screaming HELP ME!! over and over. The nurses were so slow that I was detaching my IV and turning on and off the pump machine.

I had two completely different experiences at this hospital. I was in ICU for the majority (no other beds avail.) The nursing staff here were excellent. Very knowledgeable about the WLS proceedure. Were very encouraging in the walking and moving about as much as possible. They were very conscientous about pain control.
I was moved to the 2ndfloor my last night there, This was a horible experience. My room mate was a screamer and they neverseemed to apy much attention to her. They showed absolutely no interest or concern fo pain management. They discussed my room mates condition "Oh you have poop all in your sore" How gross. I am glad that I had a family member there to advocate on my behlf.

Like others who have reviewed this hospital, my day and a half in ICU was great- the nurses were attentive and kind. However, once I was moved to my regular room, there were nurses (not all of them) who were miserable and not helpful at all. My roommate and I had to wait over 30 minutes on several occasions after clicking the call buttons for anyone to come in. They were nice enough to me (I didn't ask for much and mostly took care of myself), but they were very rude to my roommate, who needed their help often. (This does not apply to ALL nurses, but the bad ones always seemed to be shifted together.) It was noisy and I got very little rest, though my roommate gets most of the credit for that one.
