Rancocas Valley Hospital Hospital

Well, first two days in PCU were wonderful, the staff was knowledgeable, kind considerate and seemingly competent.
I'm going to list some events.. anyone else can be their own judge.
Next two days I spent on the 5th floor.
IV was clearly infiltrated...the head nurse on the floor remedied this by taping the IV to my arm to the point where I still have residual tape.
No Soap.. asked to take a shower and got a cup of liquid hand soap.
No towels... I got paper towels to take a shower with.
Head nurse on floor was talk to anyone ... anyplace on the floor thru the central station without ever moving. She was absolutely the worst I've ever experienced.
She made an annoucement to me after I had my leak test that something came back negative after the test and she couldn't "remember" what it was. Eventually she showed me the results from the radiologist. As it turned out it was a "spasm" after drinking the barium. But you can't beleive what she put us thru for over an hour.
I never once pressed the button for nursing assistance. But my roommate did.. the response time was horrendous.
I guess I shouldn't let one person's rudeness and seemingly incompetence have such a large influence on my judgements, but that floor nurse was scarey.

I would hope not to be in this hospital again. The quality of some of the nursing staff was poor. There were some good nurses but unfortunately when you are sick and in the hospital service is critical and when it is lacking it is remembered. I had to meet with a patient advocate the service was so bad.
