The staff (nurses, aides, volunteers, etc.) could not have been more kind and considerate. I was worried about being embarrassed because of the type of surgery I was having. I commented on how comfortable they made me feel and was told Dr. Oakley held training sessions. The staff was quick to respond to the call button and take care of all my needs. A++++++++

The Hospital kitchen is horrible, they would not make any flavor sugar free jello flavor except lime and lemon juk!
They tried to give you jello than was not sugar free

I have been in the hospital twice before I had this surgery. both times when I was in my twenties, so its been a while. But I dont remember being treated as well as I was at ST. Lukes the staff was fantastic everyone was wonderful I had a great time there all things considerd. I would give them a 11+ I cant say enough good things about ST. Lukes

They all care about your'e condition and I had respiratory complications. They are also very excited about this procedure and enjoy learning more about it for themselves (nurses), and their loved ones.

Everybody was pretty nice and caring but a few nurses made my stay difficult, since they expected me to able to do things for myself that I know I could not do. I wasn't in a lot of pain but it was a very uncomfortable experience.

I don't think that being woken 4-6 times a night is beneficial to healing. The nursing staff used a lot of medical terminology which might be hard for patients to understand.

The staff is very technically oriented, not as good with emotional issues. Staff need more education about dealing with bariatric surgery patients.

I had no complaints about my stay.. The nurses were really wonderful. They keeped encouraging me and were really caring..They would see me up and walking and they were genuinley excited.
