MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

Hello Members,

On a daily basis we get calls from members in desperate need of surgeons that will accept Medicaid and or Medicare for Bariatric surgery.  It breaks our hearts when we have to say "we don't know of any surgeons in your state we can refer you to". 

Can you please help us? If you know of any surgeons in your state that accepts Medicaid and or Medicare, will you list their:

Doctor Gomez at IU Bariatric Center and I believe there # is (317)6302524. I know he accepts medicaid for a fact. Dr. Kaderabuk at St. Vincent Carmel(not recommended). Their are not too many doctors that accept medicaid in Indiana

???why do you not recommend Dr. Kaderabek? I have not met many people who know much about him and I am curious as to his experience and mortality rate. please let me  know. thanks

My husband had gastric bypass 5 years ago and Dr. Kaderabek performed his surgery. He has had no problems and the doctor was so nice and informative.

i have kaderabek.  my surgery is dec 9.  does he send you home with drains?  liquid vicodin? he seems pretty cool.

He was my surgeon too......the biggest mistake I ever made! I don't think my body will ever be right again. But I'm interested in why they don't recommend him either.

I know that Dr. Huse in Carmel, IN (suburb of Indianapolis) takes Medicare, and Dr. Mattar also in Carmel takes Indiana Medicaid.  Dr. Huse operates at both St. Vincent Carmel and Clarian North hospitals; Dr. Mattar is solely at Clarian North, as far as I know. Dr Kaderabek in Carmel @ St. Vincents accepts Medicaid. He did my surgery in May and I really like him. He was a little quiet and seems shy but would answer any questions I had. I had to be readmitted for a sm. bowel obstruction but other than that I've had no problems. During my hospital stay he was very attentive and caring. Cheryl
