I was wondering the same thing!  I just googled it and noticed the brand she just mentioned.  But I saw some recipes for it using vanilla protein, too - most add peanut butter and cinnamon.  I guess I could use PB2 and cinnamon....   Anyway, sounds intriguing!  

 

(just saw another using vanilla protein powder - instead of peanut butter, this one uses 1/2 a banana and some dates.  PB2 sounds safer - although it would change the taste somewhat.  Anyway, I'm going to experiment with this since I need to keep my shakes interesting!!)

Tomorrow we celebrate the 42nd anniversary of our first date.  Yes, I know it sounds corny but we still celebrate it.  We were high school sweethearts and our first date was to see the movie The Trial of Billy Jack (for all you old-timers out there). I was only 15 and my curfew was 20 minutes after the movie was over - we lived in the country 10 miles from the theater.  I slipped (or did I pretend to) on the ice on the way to the car and my now DH took my hand to help me.  That was the beginning of a wonderful journey through life.  We plan to go to the movies tomorrow (something we rarely do now) and go out to dinner.

CAMAW has been great.  Down 3 lbs as of this morning.  I've been averaging about a lb a week for the last month or so - definitely a win.  I've realized that probably my biggest downfall is the handful (or 2) of almonds I've been grabbing for an evening snack.  I think nuts will stay off of my grocery list for a while.  It's definitely made me think more about my eating and that I really need to stick to dense protein and lots and lots of water.

B:  Decaf coffee w/ scoop of GNC vanilla cream protein

L:  3 oz. beef & chicken stirfry (meat only)

S:   1/2 c. Greek Light n Fit w/ 1/2 scoop protein powder and 1.5 T PB2

D:  Steak baby!  (3-4 oz. depending on pouch)

E:  15 miles on the stationary bike done

I remember the Billy Jack movies... very vaguely... I think I was about 9 when that one was released! Now I want to watch them again, I remember them being 'so grown up' movies... but he was cute 

Nuts are definitely something I will not be buying again for a while, and I really will keep an eye on them. My husband (while doing CAMAW with me in spirit) keeps grabbing the can of nuts and munching on them while I cook dinner this week... I usually would grab a handful myself... obviously not food I need, and just extra calories... which add up over a year (Thank you Grim for pointing that out to me this week with the 100 calorie/day = 10lbs/year, that really hit home with me)

I had to cut the nuts out a few months ago too. I had those dark chocolate almonds and kept grabbing handfuls.  I finally realized that was a slippery slope I didn't want to go down!

Wow, what a meaty week! This has been a great experience for me!!! Although I was up .2 lb. this morning, I can tell that it is water retention -- I'm guessing it's hormonal (I'm perimenopausal, so my body is a bit crazy right now.) Anyway, I am down a total of 2.4 pounds since Monday, and was able to break a bad stall, so I am thrilled to be here! I am less than   20 pounds from my goal, and things have really slowed down lately, but this has shown me that I can keep on keeping on!!! I think I may do CAMAW or AMAW for lent.

L: Bananas & Cream Premier Protein Shake

D: Hickory Smoked Ham with Cream Cheese

Totals: Calories-510, Protein-73

Exercise: 45 minute Super Sweat class

Happy Friday everyone!

well, some of you saw my nsv post yesterday, and I'm still blown away by that. But even more so: I was at my cousin's to help with childcare. He's a busy little man with autism, so sitting still isn't his thing. It's been a while since I spent some quality one on one time with him, which I loved and I expected to be whipped out completely when I got home. I wasn't. Not even close! I realized it on the drive home that I was still full of energy! 

Qotd: well I didn't do AMAW, but I'm still early days and my eating isn't too off the mark. I'm looking forward to hearing others responses! 

Photos: 1 is what I have to put up with when trying to do yoga. The other is from when we went axe throwing on the weekend. So much fun! And for the record, I did have some much closer to the bullseye!
