I'm sick of hating my body so....

My thighs are gross, I have back fat, and my bat wings are disgusting! Not to mention my roll of stomach fat that is now a split roll due to my open surgery (gross!) is still visible. Every time I look in the mirror all I see is the negative. So as I sit here I making the following list:

Here are the top 5 things I love about my body
1. My waist, it is small and I like that.
2. My hips because they make me look like a curvy, sexy woman.
3. My fingers because they are long and thin and make me look delicate
4. My ankles...because I have them now
5. My smile, because I have one of those now too.

Enough beating myself up, I have come a long way and resolve to be nice to me!
What do you love about your new body???

Also, stop looking at yourself naked... it just gives you more opportunity to beat yourself up.  I bet you look like a million bucks clothed - just like most women.

Only being 5 weeks post op....i'm still searching for things I love.

But so far.....I love being more flexible....easier to tie my shoes, shave my legs, and to snap my bra. I love that my face has slimmed down.

I'm hoping to add to that list every so often!

Good for you, focussing on your assets!

That's as good as it gets.
My list?
1. An hour glass figure.
2. Space between my thighs.
3. Shopping in the petite regular cloths.
4. Looking a lot younger than my 56 years.
5. Live long enough to drive my future grandchildren crazy.
AND
6.  Having the opposite sex (regardless of age) check me out.

Oooooh...this is fun!  I'm always so busy worrying about what I'm trying to continue to improve.  This is a nice change of pace! Okay, so hmmmmm...

My bright white smile & hair
The dimple in the tip of my nose
My boobs (sorry, but they're awesome! LMAO)
Long fingers and hands which look nice with jewelry
Collarbones, hipbones and top-of-my-feet-bones (because I have them finally)
Dare I say...abs?!? (okay, not LOVE yet, but I'm beginning to LIKE them a little lol)

Thanks for posting this thread!!

good for you; don't hate your body it's doing it's best!

I love that mine carries me around and I'm hardly ever in pain anymore. even my feet after working all day!!

you go on being nice to yourself, might as well!

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Oh **** off! I've had remarkably successful WLS and I'm STILL fatter than you are.

Seriously---you have a BMI of 30. You are already where a LOT of people end up. Embrace how wonderful life can be, and get over yourself. Stop whining.
