"WOW" I finished my first 5K!!!

I did it! I completed my first 5K run. It was the Big Sur Event and I finished under my goal of 40 minutes. It ended up being really challenging because of a couple of steep hills. It was definitely a WOW moment for me as i never would have dreamed that i'd be running a race 18 months post op.

Congrats! That's an awesome accomplishment. I just walked my first 5K yesterday, and it's an amazing feeling! I hope to be running soon and join all of you amazing people!

THat's awesome!  I ran my first 5K the day before my surgiversary!  I thought I was going to die the last half mile and some stranger (super athletic man) came back and ran the last 1/2 with me telling me I could do it all the way and a little girl came up and gave me a high five as I was in sight of the line.  Little did these people know how much it meant to me to have all of the support!  (I must have looked like I was going to die!)

Great job!  Keep it up!
