did a 50 miler hills ride (one of my favorite routes) and really felt strong.  it was my best effort on that route yet.  last april i did it with an average of 16.7mph, this April it was 18.4mph, today it was 19.5mph.  i think i'm ready for Indiana.  10K race on Monday and then two weeks of taper :)  here we go.

ride details if interested:  http://connect.garmin.com/activity/96274096

Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

i got up to the mountain track today  started walking fast since im still recovering from  strains to both my achillies ,  they started acting up almost immediately  but I got mad  started running  and for wahtever reason they stopped hurting and I shaved 3 minutes off my time for three mile jog!  probably pay for it in the morning  but was happy with todays results!

I need to recalculate my sweat ratio. In 2:37:40 I drank 150 OZ of fluids and still lost 3 pounds on the bike. Yeah, 100+ degrees does'nt help, but how do I drink 50 OZ of Fluids p/ hr and still lose 1 pound an hour? It's all good. I figure 3 bottles p/ hr will do the trick. THAT's CRAZY!!! LOL

Hydration has always been issue for me... Just today on my 50 miler, I drank something like 100oz of fluid and ended up around net -7 lbs after the ride.

Rest day. Monday is the 10k I have busted my butt training for and given my recent luck I don't want to hurt anything before Monday so rest today and tomorrow.

Managed a slow 30 minute walk on the TM. I'm surprised how much strength I could lose in 3 weeks of down time.

We all started slow, but your workouts are as impressive as everyone elses. Just as I have followed people into this lifestyle people have followed me, and people will follow you.

Keep up the great work!
