Topic: Trying to get licence in NJ from PA
Hi all I have been a hairstylists for 30 years. I am also waiting for lapband surgery. I want to get my licence in NJ where I now live and if I can lose this weight and get a heel spur fixed. I'll be back in business. I also owned my own shop in Philly for 7 years and it's that proof I'm trying to get together for the NJ board. There is no way the tests thing is happening. I had my my friend and former employee write a notorized letter saying she was employed for at least 3 years by me, and I'm having the green paper notorized saying that I owned my own salon. I think they are really more interested in the $130.oo check than anything. I would be good to work at hair again. Nice to be here. Patti

Do you mean a license to open a salon or a license to do hair?

Topic: Newbie!!
:help: Iam sure this has probably already been talked about, But I just discovered this nifty little message board and had some questions I was hoping you all could help me with. First..Iam wanting to open up my own At Home hair salon:dance: (sort of) All I will be doing is putting in/taking out extensions that I will have personally made. So I was wondering if I would need a license to do so, and how I would go about getting one? thank you so much for your time... ~Abby:-p

Topic: RE: Help Yellow Nails...Green Hair????
hi, i have been a nail tech for 10 yrs and the only time i have really seen yellow nails is from either polish being on with no base coat or smoking a lot. i have never known remover to do anything to nails but make them a little white sometimes from drying them out. if buffing it with a very mild buffing block doesn't work then my tip for my clients is to soak their nails in denture cleaner, funny i know, but it does work!! as far as the hair situation, i am only a nail tech so i am clueless, lol!! hth, patrice

Topic: Hey Guys....know anyone with cancer?
This year, cancer will strike more than 1.3 million Americans and take more than half a million lives. As friends and family, we can do something to save lives and help those already fighting this disease. That's why I'm taking action against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life® in Saint Lucie West, Florida. (Tradition Stadium) I have FINALLY LOST 100 pounds and now that I have new found energy I cant wait for this event!!! Relay is an overnight event that unites our community in a common effort to support the American Cancer Society's lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The Society works every day to prevent cancer and save lives by supporting groundbreaking research, affecting public policies that protect us from cancer, and educating people on how to prevent or detect cancer early. The Society helps people in our community who have cancer through its many programs and services. Together, we can help the American Cancer Society accelerate the progress toward a cancer-free future. I hope you'll be able to join us for this year's event. Our Team "The Carol Collins Bonding *Starlites* will be offering Haircuts, Hand massages, Braiding, and a few raffels. There will be many tents set up with refreshments, memorials, and much more! Topic: RE: Question about how my daughter should have her hair cut for ballet
Well if I was you I would encourage her to keep her hair at the length that it is now and after the dance make a special day to get her hair cut the way she wants it...when you go to the salon look through some kid hairstyle books and make it fun. Little girls are so much fun to work with. I love the style that is stacked in the back and little longer in the front just below the chin. Have fun and make it fun.. take pictures of her getting her hair cut. If you make it a special day she wont want to cut it before the dance....
