Down a pound this week. Extremely happy as I was on vacation and pretty much off the record! Looking to get back to near my all time low weight of 173. Lots of home improvement type stuff happening and before long, yard work.

See you all next Sunday!

Hi Guys,

The Numbers:
346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
190: Weigh In 3/17/13
192: This Week 3/24/13 -->2 pounds gain BMI=28
158:Total Weight Loss

Well like the saying what goes up must come down, the opposite true for me as what goes down goes up! Up a couple pounds but not surprised as I ate ok but did not work out as much. Now that I am not training for any races, will have to adjust as needed.

A big part of my accomplishment has been exercise. I have ran several 5K's and a couple of 10K's. Last week I ran my 1st half marathon. Today I did my 2nd 5 mile race. Pretty happy as I finished in 41:05 which is about 8 minutes better than the one I did last November!!

Hoping for some real Spring weather this week...have a good one guys!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4-Aug-09:  377.5 lbs
Last week:  215.0 lbs / 20.2% body fat / 163.2 lbs muscle mass
This week:  215.8 lbs / 20.6% body fat / 162.8 lbs muscle mass

My overall weight this week is about status quo (+0.8 lbs / -0.4 lbs muscle mass).  I made it to the gym 5 days this past week for a full 60 minutes of cardio each day and continuing to up my intensity burning 1100-1200 kcal during each workout.  I can tell my glycogen stores are depleted by the end of the week.  I’ll continue to look for a trend in my muscle mass.

We’ve had a wet and stormy weekend in Middle Georgia making for lazy days indoors.  This week is supposed to be sunny and mild.  Spring is definitely in the air (and on the cars)!

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

355 8/1/11 Start Date....321 9/21/11 RNY Surgery Day

202...202 (though I dipped to 200.x one day during the week)

Weight is about the same, but strength from all the lifting is up!!  Actually pulled the "pose" this morning in the mirror, curling up the biceps above the shoulders and DANG....  so THAT is why guys like "muscle" shirts...hmm....

Started week 6 of Cross Fit this morning, def one of the best fitness decisions I have made, WAY more benefits to date than my Krav Maga class I did last year.

Jump rope is getting easier, I think I strung together nearly 30 jumps before messing up this morning.  I still have not got "double unders" yet but eventually.

Saturday, for the first time since age 14 or 15, I rode my bike more than just a quick trip around the block.  It was about 60 degrees, and I decided to see what I could do on it.

Rode down to the local shopping center and down behind each of the various buildings (less traffic back where the docks are)  Stopped at the very end of the strip (and remembered to turn my GPS (Endomondo) on for the return trip.

All told, 5 miles in about 25 minutes, was doing 5:30 miles, avg speed of 10.x mph (max was 25.x mph on a downhill stretch)

Kinda fun to do something "new" to me for my active rest day!

Next goal for the bike is to try "offroading" it on some local trails... not sure how much harder that is, I know the pavement is pretty easy, might have to get some notes from our resident GOAL HITTING expert on tire PSI etc.

My daughter and I celebrated by going skiing, which I love and she is learing...it will be great to have a new skiing buddy and she has taken to it rather well.

On a side note, I received my Blue Belt in BJJ last week as well...more on that in the near future but it is a great accomplishment in my gym....you earn it.

Sam...I don't know about expert knowledge but PM sent. :)
