OT - Blenders
Well as christmas approaches, I decided I really want a new blender for xmas. I have an ancient one from oh...who even knows 15 yrs ago, I never really use the thing. and I figure I will not only need one for my opti, but to help puree food after. I would like to make smoothies also, and maybe after surgery can find some "rny friendly ones". So can anyone recommend a good blender? I saw a Ninja one that looks really good, it turns ice into snow if need be !!!! So what is your blender weapon of choice??? LOL
Love my Magic Bullet...easy to store, drink right out of the cup you blend it in, can use the cups in the microwave (for a quick cream/puree soup) , easy to clean.
I've not seen the Ninja one though...l have an ice shaver that I use with my SF syrups in the summer for ice cone treats, so if the ninja can do that it might be a good option
Blessings,
Kim
I got a Magic Bullet for Optifast and it worked great. But I get the feeling it's not very hardy. It started to leak very slightly out of the bottom of the blade attachment. Lasted me fine for the three weeks and worked perfectly, but I don't know how much longer it would have been able to take that constant several-times-daily use.
In any case, hubby noticed that the Magic Bullet was on sale in the Canadian Tire flyer this week - not sure if that's just this store or all over (I'm assuming all over).
The Ninja sounds great...does shaved ice nicely, does it? Hmm....

I have an ancient blender that I use for fruit smoothies. The magic bullet is okay so long as you are not using frozen fruit. It blends okay but the full blender breaks down the fruit much easier and faster.
For work since I am using just liquid and protein powder I use a container I got from GNC that had a wire ball in it to blend. Not cheap byt very handy
